When you're retail shopping and they ticket you for parking in the designated spot.... Awesome classy dope thing to do
Stephanie R.

I went to buy cupcakes right across the street. Was parked in the retail only parking. ABSOLUTELY Less then 5 minutes and got a $60 parking ticket. Because I was shopping in the retail and parked in the retail? Absolutely no one around to explain, cannot call to talk to anyone, to dispute you need to mail documents physically in? Is this a scam? Absolutely rubbish and horrible experience doing something I've done tons of times to shop in the retail plaza.

This company is a scam and makes local businesses lose money! I was shopping at the Greenwood Bartell's in Seattle, WA this afternoon and received a $49 ticket. Here's how it went: I shopped at Bartell's (receipt timestamped at 2:44pm), put my bag in the car, and then ran across the street to grab something at the smoke shop, and came back to my car 8 min later. There is a 9 minute timestamp difference from my Bartell's receipt and the citation! This guy in the below pictures then knocks on my car window and hands me a ticket (not socially distanced at all!) timestamped at 2:35pm. This is a scam! I'm not even allowed to run across the street (where there is no parking available) without being fined $49! How am I suppose to shop in Greenwood? These people are despicable! They just want your money! Worse of all, this guy appears to be on Bartell's property (see pics below). I'm very angry about this, not because of the money, but because I do not like being scammed! Am I literally suppose to drive across the street to find a new parking spot (there are very few if any) to shop at a store for a 2 minutes? I'm not that lazy! I can walk across the street, or at least I thought I could without being fined. Please see the pics below; this guy was specifically looking for people to leave the property to fine them. One foot out of the parking lot, and you've violated whatever made-up agreement the company has with its customers. Also, there are no signs posted anywhere for this company. I guess you can't take one step off of their property; it's a violation and you will be fined! I guess needless to say, I won't be shopping at the local Bartell's store anymore. ALSO, PLEASE TRAIN YOUR EMPLOYEES TO SOCIALLY DISTANCE. IN CASE YOU HAVEN'T HEARD, WE'RE IN A PANDEMIC!

Strange predatory parking company. I'm surprised this private parking company is allowed to operate in Seattle neighborhoods. The parking app for the lot I used appears fake, like an identify theft scheme. There's no Apple Pay or other options and no parking time selection - just flat $9. If you don't immediately pay, a man pops out of the dark with a $60 fine before retreating back into the shrubbery. Unfortunately, I think this creepy lot probably deters a lot of would-be local business customers.

A ticket for parking in a spot that I got in mail today. I was in my car the whole time for a few minutes jotting things down.

I got a mail from this place asking me to pay for parking there. I was in my car the whole time and never left my car. I was there for a few minutes to jot something down and the shops were close around that time. A guy knocks my car window and told me to not park here and that I have to pay for it, I told him sorry and he was up in my face not socially distance and then walks away. It's a scam and it seems I'm not the only one that have this happened to me, it happened to others as well. $49 and wow others got handed out there tickets I was told not to park there so I apologize and quickly left. I was only in my car for a few mins just to jot something down and apparently doing that I get a fine, are you freaking kidding me! Extremely angry and upset about this!

Charged $85 for 3 hours. Such a scam!! Said it was $60 and then added an extra $25 with hidden fees. Not to mention the tiniest spots.

Their signage is vague and inadequate. I parked in one of several unlabeled spaces and got a $55 ticket.

When we got there a day and a half late, they charged us based on the discounted rate from our prepaid reservation. That was fair and fine by me. SeaTac Park's rates are higher than many of the other SeaTac lots, but the level of service is also much higher. The parking stalls are wide and well lit, and the staff are terrific. Fingers crossed the new ownership keeps up the good work.

Instead I chose SeaTac Park based on Yelp reviews. So to all the fellow Yelpers who took the time to post about their experiences with this indie company, thank you! Based on my departing flight, taking the bus and light rail was not an option. Nor did I want to ask a very early AM favor from others. Taking an Uber/Lyft was cost prohibitive. So I decided I was going to drive south, entrust my car with SeaTac Park, and use their shuttle service to the airport. I wished I had booked my 8/23/25 online reservation much sooner, because booking earlier, the bigger the discount. Arrived with plenty of time on 8/26/25, checked in at their booth, drove and parked at an open spot, and I sleepily boarded the shuttle which brought me and others to our designated airport departure spots. Make sure to retain your parking receipt in a safe place while on holiday! Returned on 9/2/25 and texted the phone number from the parking receipt once I was at the ground transportation level. For SeaTac Park, it's best to wait for arranged shuttle pick up at Level 3 island #1 or island #3. Remember to tip your shuttle drivers to and from! I got dropped off right at my vehicle with my luggage placed by my trunk. There was no issue at the checkout booth and soon I was on my way back home. Due to my red eye, I was driving in rush hour traffic - talk about welcome back from my holiday, lol. Shout out to Susanna LaTempa and the four staff members (departure - gate check-in and shuttle driver and arrival - shuttle driver, and gate checkout)! Easy booking, questions answered promptly, conveniently located, pleasant customer service, and my car was kept secure during my holiday. Thank you SeaTac Park - highly recommended!

At least the east garage you can always enter with your parking card. But for the west garage? That giant sign that's there that says it's open til 1am when you drive in? A huge lie. They actually close at like 11pm or so. Not that would know that when you drive in since it's not posted anywhere! The only reason I know was because I was lucky enough to catch a patrol guard who explained to me the correct hours that are not posted and say the sign is from the pandemic hours and previous owner. Ok well it's 2025, we're several years out of lockdowns so why the hell aren't the current hours posted?! Why has the new owner not even prioritized upkeep of their business? Lazy! I was able to get to my car by sheer luck by finding that guard but if I hadn't I'd be locked out. More negative reviews need to be left here since this is ridiculous!! If you're like me, you just look for a garage and don't read reviews ahead of time but if somehow I caught you before you make your trip -- JUST DON'T DO IT! Screw this place!

Now come on it's not that easy you may have to travel a few block traveling down 6th Ave but you get the picture ( I hope )! Parking is self management with driving in accepting a ticket and locating spot. I'm surprised they have electric charging station's but they offer green new deal car charger. Myself I still use gas and I love it. Being directly across from Nordstrom's you can access shopping in 1 minute of parking. Also other attractions are just outside the garage including Seattle favorites the homeless population are available. Wait this is about parking so I will continue. Ok so it's time to leave, your choice is to use the machines inside building which I highly recommend vs paying at the gates. Recently, they increased price to $12.99 from $10.99 a day. No loyalty discount, no membership blah, blah. I hope they are not reading this, but it is still one of the better deals around. During the most recent van ride from the airport back to the parking lot, I met a United flight attendant who regularly parks her car there. She validated my opinion about their pricing. Ajax Parking R Us runs fairly bare bones. Driving up, there is rarely someone in the booth. Just read the sign about which aisles to park. During the busy seasons and long weekends, ALWAYS make a reservation. We've made that mistake once before, and they accommodated us by having us park along where the employees would park. We make a reservation 100% of the time now. The van ride wait is typically 5-ish minutes. They tend to run two vans circling between lot and airport. I usually plan for a total of 10-ish minutes from the time I arrive at the lot to the time I arrive at the airport. The drivers are a mix bag of keeping to themselves or chatty. I don't mind either one but actually prefer the quiet ones. At the airport, arriving at the islands, I call their number for pick up as soon as I can see which island I am near. I don't use the courtesy phones (gross) and call directly. They always answer the phone. Thank you for that. Be aware you must use the same credit card to get in and out of the lot. Guard that credit card or you will be stuck! Also be aware that they rarely hand out cards with which aisle you parked. Many people end up losing them. Make a note of it yourself on your phone.
