At first I was a little iffy because I had asked for ombré and while I already had tips and acrylic on the lady presented me with a price of 80 dollars for her service for just a fill. She proceeded to fill a pedicure chair with water and told me to sit. So I said "I wanted a full set" She said yes full set and pedicure, sit. I said no thanks. After THIRTY MINUTES of waiting, another nail technician comes over and says "sorry you'll have to come back tomorrow we have too many appointments tonight" So now I wasted a half an hour sitting there for absolutely nothing. I came with my friend at 10:15am we were taken at 10:30am. we were taken by the same nail tech at first and then another women took me over and took over 2 hours on my nails and cut me 3 times and burned me with her nail drill. Got a gel fill , made three of my fingers bleed with the electric file. no apology, told me it was because I had sensitive skin. total nightmare from the second i got here. the station was so unsanitary, dirty towel with several different peoples nail clippings on it. i asked her to trim my nails (it was a fill) and she cut them almost in half and charged $10 extra. when filing and drilling she cut/burned me multiple times. the paint job is just okay, & she only put topcoat on one of my hands. im never one to complain but i definitely wont be returning. read more

I went to get a full set on and I wanted them to be a pointy almond. What I normally get. No one ever questioned my length when deciding and she did. She was a sweetheart but when I went to show her the picture she pretty much brushed it off and said "I already know how to do it thank you." So I let her do her thing and from the moment she started to clip them I could see how uneven she cut it. My ring finger is going to the left my middle finger is completely rounded (even though most of them already are) and then my pointer is going to the right. Now I didn't say anything cause I wanted to see if she would notice it her self and fix it. Then when I pointed it out and suggested that if she filed it on one side and not the other it would even it out. She then tells me that she knows how to do her job and I know I shouldn't have but that was what really set me off. I showed and explained to her what I wanted she said she understood and now she's doing work like this. I still paid my $45 for the set and had to tell them to give me my change. That was pretty funny. I then sat in a new chair with my friend since she was getting hers done. Her nails were absolutely beautiful. Her nail tech even offered to fix mine but I was just not in the mood to sit there anymore upset. I was ready to go home. She was a very friendly person and I loved how she was willing to fix the mistake of her co worker and the guy who was also here even offered as well. Maybe if I wasn't charged $45 dollars for shit work I wouldn't leave a bad review but I thought it was a horrible thing to have me do for a shit job they did. Very unsatisfied. read more

Okay - not horrible, not great. My experience with other salons is somewhat limited, but I definitely don't rave about this place. I've patronized several times in the past, mostly for pedicures before special occasions. One time, I visited for a manicure and was talked into a shellac. I'm not a girly-girl by any means, but I was getting married and wanted something to last through the wedding (the following day) and honeymoon (the next week). I'm guessing that I shouldn't have been able to peel off the shellac, a fingernail at a time, over the course of ny honeymoon. During my most recent visit, I went with some friends for pedicures. We were taken at the same time and had the same service - partway through the pedicure, a few women came in for artificial nails. Okay, whatever. I ended up waiting about 15 minutes for the others to be finished while the individual who had done my pedicure went to help the artificial-nails crowd. Not sure if this is common practice, but it was definitely remarked upon after leaving. For first-timers, just be aware that if you're looking for a salon where you'll be able to chat with the stylist the way you might at a hair salon while s/he cuts your hair? This is not the place to do that. I do feel badly saying that, but they chat amongst themselves, and the clients either chat with friends or remain quiet. I'd probably return when I'm in the area, but only because I'm not aware of a better salon that isn't a pricey spa! read more

Went for a soothing mani pedi to celebrate the end of the school year. This place is NOT relaxing! Techs argued and yelled at each other the whole time. Intensity of scrubbing and filing increased to match rising tempers regardless of customer comfort. Edited to add: To make a bad experience worse, four days later I now have a fungal infection on my feet and an infected finger nail. I wish I could take away the one star. read more

As others have said, inconsistent. The first time I went for a shellac manicure they did a very nice job and it lasted me close to three weeks! They have options between getting a "shellac manicure" and a "polish change" the polish change is just 15$ And it's quick, so it's nice when you don't need a full manicure and just want a quick shellac change. When I went to do this it was just "okay", wasn't as good as the first time and didn't last as long, but for 15 bucks I felt it was worth it. Then I went to a new place by my work that was 20$ for a shellac manicure instead of 22$ and they took over an hour to do my nails and the manicure came out great, so I went there a few times but found myself again at platinum when I didn't want to spend almost 2 hours at the salon and just wanted a quick polish change. I had to wait for a really long time, it was busy but I was okay with that. They assume to just file square down or "lazy" so I made sure to tell the gentleman not to file my nails square and he huffed and puffed and did a half hearted job at keeping the shape I had. Then he absolutely rushed my shellac. Figure at least 30 seconds to dry per coat per hand, both hands. He kept trying to take my hand out before it was dry but I know that leaves bubbles so I told him I wanted to let them stay they full time, to which he responded by making comments in a different language which makes you think he's complaining about me. So I leave, the next day a nail breaks and another chips so I go back. I told them the number of color I got the previous day. And the woman asked me what color bottle. How am I supposed to remember? So I find the color on the sample wheel to show her and she can't seem to find it. She finds what's "supposed" to be the color and opens it and it doesn't look right she puts a little on my nail and let's it dry and sees it doesn't match. She then filed my broken nail totally slanted and just left it. She looked at me and said "well what do you want me to do" So I asked her to file my nail straight and put a top coat. So I left with a filed down nail, and the chipped nail from before still has a chip. I guess you get what you pay for but everyone there was rude. All of my other nails have those "popped bubbles" from not letting them dry. So I payed 15$ to walk around with chipped bubbly nails for two weeks until I go to my other salon. I'm disappointed. Platinum used to come in handy for a quick mani, but now I will only go there in emergency situations read more

But , 1st time customer, had appointment at 10 am ( time they open ) I waited 1 hour for someone to finally start my nails , others who arrived after me served 1st !! The women who did my nails didn't talk to me once until she cut my skin to apologize and was on the phone with AirPods on pretty much the whole time end result ... being the kind person I shouldn't be at this point ... I could of left without paying as no one even trying to collect the fee until I approached and said I haven't paid yet and still left a tip !!!' I hated the shape , length , polish job !! The technician filed my nails lopsided and then huffed and puffed when I pointed it out and asked her to file them straight. And when she was taking off my OPI gel she was so rough! It was painful. At first, I loved this place. I went twice and had a great experience with one technician. The third time he was not available, so I just had my nails/brows done by someone else. After about 5 appointments, I realized this place lacks consistency (and even my original tech would have an "off" day) For one, each time I went my nails varied in thickness, neatness, and general durability. One technician removed my old acrylics with no regard to my personal comfort and I actually started bleeding under my natural nail. I have also had my eyebrows waxed at Platinum Nails and once again the experience varies. Don't get me wrong, no one at that place is a pro at waxing, but I have left feeling satisfied with the job. Until one of them burned me and I had blisters under my eyebrow, not to mention one of my eyebrows was higher than the other. I couldn't even get them fixed because I was too burned to get waxed somewhere else. Lastly, I do enjoy the 2 TVs, who does want to get entertained while they sit there? However, they show some movies that boarder inappropriate. One day there was a kid around age 6 with his mother and they picked an R rated horror movie with explicit sexual content. I enjoy a good R rated movie as much as the next person, but I find it ridiculous that a PAYING customer had to ask them to turn it off. This place is very much open. They got a remodel, but unfortunately, it did nothing for their customer service. The first time i went there it was 5 star service. This time however, it's a zero. I don't wanna go into specifics but the young man who did my nails was clearly new, at first he was nice and was doing a good job on my acrylic fill, but, once he realized I wasn't "his type", he bluntly told me how he didn't like something about my appearance and how he doesn't like girls who look like that. I made an appointment for my cousin and I to get pedicures, specifically stating twice on the phone that it would be for two of us. When we got there, They only had one pedicure chair open, so they told one of us to sit first, so I sat, assuming that the girl getting her pedicure on the side of me was probably almost finished and my cousin would then be able to sit next to me. I realized that the girl on the side of me had also just started getting her pedicure, so I knew I wasn't going to be able to sit next to my cousin as planned. (Frustrating considering that was the whole point of making an appointment for two people) Not only was that a bummer, but to top it off the technician rushed through my pedicure so fast. Being 6 months pregnant, I was super uncomfortable in the chair and tried adjusting it a few times, she never offered to help me even though she saw that I struggling to work the remote, she burnt me with the hot stone, barely cleaned up my cuticles, didn't use lotion on my feet or legs completely skipping the massage part of the pedicure, didn't even give me a second coat of polish, and finished my pedicure before the girl on the side of me even had polish on her toes (even though her pedicure was started first) It was obvious that she didn't take her time with my pedicure, getting it done faster than it should have been. When I was finished, she started my cousins pedicure so I had to sit there and wait for hers to be done. What was the point of making an appointment? I'm in the service industry so I understand things happen and they probably got busy, but I'm disappointed they rushed through my pedicure that was supposed to be relaxing and enjoyable. I've had manicures and pedicures regularly for years now and I've never had one this bad. I definitely do not recommend this place and will not return. read more

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE! I am a volunteer teacher and barely ever have time for myself. I went on a Sunday afternoon to get the gel shellac nail done which was guaranteed by them to last two weeks. They were so rough with my nails and made them sore for three days. So wrote them off as never again from that evening. Then the next day they started chipping, by Tuesday evening they were all chipped and coming off. I called Wednesday asked how long it should last again, when they said two weeks I told them the problem and asked for my $30 back to which they refused. I used to love going here the girls did such a great job but I went about a month ago for a pedicure and to take my acrylics off. The guy was being so rough with the pedicure and he was basically rushing ... for what? Idk because the place had just opened and he seemed very frustrated. Then we go to take my acrylics off mind you they are stuck onto my nails it's not like they were ready to fall off and he starts trying to pull it off with a nail tip. I was wincing and told him I wanted him to soak them. He angrily got up from the chair and went to get the bowl so I can soak them he sits down puts my hands in then gets back up and walks out of the salon. Point is I wasn't comfortable here they weren't very professional and very rude everything is like a big rush there. Went there today and extremely upset with there service. So rough and cuts all over my hand, ones even infected . My nails look like a 5 year old did them. Highly unsanitary as well.
