I really wanted to give Joel a great review however the seal at the bottom of my door was crimped since install I immediately brought it to the installers attention he told me to take it up with Joel, who I notified immediately. He assured me he would fix it the following week. He never showed or called. Made another appointment, I adjusted my schedule once again no show no call. I have reached out just about every month since January. I'm still waiting... very disappointing, it proves the cheapest isn't always the best way to go. read more

We hired Joel to replace a broken commercial bay door spring. We agreed to replace both springs while we were at it. With the new springs Joel's company installed, the door would slam open towards the top and you have to pull down as your opening it. I told Joel the springs were overwound and looked like a smaller wire size as well as less of a coil count than our original springs. Joel assured me it was the best springs he could get for our doors. I just decided to deal with it. 3 weeks passed and the door became almost impossible to lift as the springs tension was wearing out. I asked Joel to at least come out and try to adjust it. After texting him repeatedly and Joel blaming us for not accommodating him to come out on a Saturday he finally got someone out after 51 days. Joel's tech that he sent out told me verbatim they were the wrong springs. After Joel had a conversion with his tech, all of a sudden the springs were not wrong. Joel's tech adjusted the springs and now the door lifts my entire weight when I try to hold it from slamming open. Joel said the door was fine in his opinion, but they could come out and install a larger drum pulley for the cable, which makes no sense as the door worked fine before the spring broke. Joel informed us he would be charging us to install the larger drum. I ended the call abruptly and Joel texted me he would come out and do it at no cost. After 2 weeks of saying we was coming out, we still have had nothing fixed. I had another company come out to quote the fix. They informed me it was the wrong springs. Their solution is to weigh the door and then get the proper springs for the door weight and size. Joel's company never did this and it makes sense now. Bottom line: tl/dr. Our door is not right and Joel refuses to fix it and/or take responsibility for his work and now I have to have another company redo it with the correct springs. I just want our door to work right. read more

Joel came and looked at our garage. Then told us he would send someone to service our garage later that evening. They showed up unable to assist us because the task was a 2 person job. They then said they would return the following morning with help to assist us. It was raining so I understood why nobody came. We expected some kind of communication regarding our service. After no effort was made to contact us. My wife was finally able to track Joel down a couple days later, only to be told that the service he originally said was possible is not possible. He did offer to possibly provide a different, likely more expensive, service after my wife found him, but after dealing with Joel and their inaccuracies I am hoping to find a more honest and professional Garage Door service company. read more

Tried to open my garage door Monday evening about 6 PM. Called platinum garage doors and left a message. Within 10 minutes Joel Delgadillo return my call. He took my contact and location information and said he would call me first thing Tuesday morning. About 9:30 AM Tuesday, Joel called me and said his technician Alex was on his way. As soon as I hung up the phone Alex was at the door. Alex was very professional and workmen like, replacing the torsion springs on my garage door. Alex told me the job would take between an hour and a half to two hours. He was actually here and gone in less than an hour or an hour and five minutes. This included replacing both torsion springs, repairing a couple brackets on the door that were bent, readjusting and lubricating it. I can't say enough good things about Joel and Alex I would give them a 10 star rating but we only get five here. Thanks again for a job done right! read more

Maybe Joel is having trouble in his life because the way he treated my 87 year old father is just despicable. Last month, Joel installed 4 garage doors on our rental property.All good and we immediately paid. Next my Dad wanted to have new garage door so he could use the button in the car and not the clicker. Joel said that requires an upgraded motor of $100.00 extra- we agreed. He installed the door and new motor, but didn't pair with the car. When I called to ask about pairing, he told me he needs a repeater device to make it work and it will take 2-3 weeks and immediately started demanding full payment. It was weird. We paid him 75% of the job and said we will pay the difference upon completion. What was his response? He filed a lien on my dad's house. Over $200.00 and a job he admits is not complete. He's fine if everything goes well and you are okay with paying in full for an incomplete job; he's horrible if anything goes wrong. He did not demonstrate being a stand up guy when there was a conflict. You should see the unprofessional text messages. Be careful is my advice. read more
