DO NOT purchase a Groupon for Angel Food Spa in Alsip, IL!…read more I have been to this location before, and they used to be very friendly and accommodating when accepting Groupon vouchers and scheduling appointments. Unfortunately, that has completely changed. I recently tried to schedule an appointment using a Groupon, and I was told that they no longer accept Groupon and that I would have to pay cash. When I explained that the Groupon website does not list any restrictions regarding specific days or payment requirements, the gentleman became visibly frustrated in his tone and told me Groupon appointments were only available on Mondays and Tuesdays. After I questioned this again, he suddenly offered me an appointment for the following Sunday. However, when I asked for a time after 2:00 PM, he refused and said 11:00 AM was the only option. What frustrates me the most is the inconsistency and the attitude when I simply asked about the restrictions. The Groupon clearly states that the offer has limited availability, and requires contacting the business at least 24 hours in advance. It does not specify that appointments are limited to Mondays and Tuesdays or that Groupon vouchers are not accepted. If a business does not want to honor Groupon offers, why advertise them in the first place? Customers should not have to deal with changing rules, conflicting information, or an unpleasant attitude just because they purchased a promotional offer. It's disappointing because I previously had positive experiences here. Unfortunately, after this interaction, I would not recommend purchasing a Groupon for this location. Be very careful before spending your money! I do want to clarify that the massages themselves are very good, and I have enjoyed the services I've received here in the past. My disappointment is not with the quality of the massages, but with the inconsistent Groupon policies, the difficulty scheduling appointments, and the way customers are treated when trying to redeem an offer. It's unfortunate because they provide good massages, but the experience of trying to use a Groupon has become unnecessarily frustrating.
