Demo took only a couple days, and (once the construction crew was assembled), construction took less than a week, including the new roof. The new dimensions are 14'x20', and it's a fantastic living space. My girls love being outside on it. And, to boot, I've gotten compliments not only from neighbors, but from two other contractors who have come to my place for unrelated jobs. Those pros complemented the quality construction, especially the double edging and the blocking under the support beams. Go with HMC and you will be so happy you did!

It took forever, and once we were in the process I couldn't wait till it was over. It felt like the Three Stooges were sent to do the work. The painting had to be redone several times -- their "team" clearly had no idea what they were doing. We had to have them rebuild the door at least twice, because the quality was truly subpar. Six months later, the door is already showing age (see photo). They were careless with the space (inside the patio, and in the surrounding garden). They never cleaned up after themselves. I had to entirely cut back one of the plants behind the patio because it was so badly broken. I'd find nails and debris around outside that I would have to throw away; they brought plastic, but barely covered our patio furniture (so I did that myself); and they broke one of our side tables. Attention to detail was absent -- I've attached photos of just SOME of the trim corners that do not match up -- there are gaps instead. Chad and his son Adam were nice enough, but we were paying for something that should've looked excellent in the end. It looks OKAY (if you don't really look at the details), and it was no fun getting there. I would absolutely suggest using a different contractor.

Got a free estimate scheduled quickly then we kept having to reschedule the work due to the weather. Will post before/after pics because the transformation is unreal. Erick was really good about working within our budget but the quality of the work was still exceptional! It took 8 years of repeatedly harassing them to get it done. Was given the run around the whole time. After about 3-4 years deck started coming apart - stairs pulling away from deck, railings were failing. Spoke with builder about this and some other issues. He said he would take care of it, made several attempts to contact and schedule before being given a number for his sub-contractor. Subcontractor never answered phone or returned messages, attempted for 4 years to get this resolved, then was told we had to go through warranty company who said warranty did not cover. Most of the windows in the house were not sealed correctly and have huge drafts everywhere - another thing the developers and builder claimed they would get taken care, and as yet have failed to make the slightest attempt to work with us on. We have drywall that wasn't put up straight, carpentry that is just wonky. A water heater that had a overflow tank too small for the size of the heater installed. I've repaired the HVAC units multiple times. Most of the doors in the home no longer latch properly. Continuous, constant issues with subpar subcontractor work where these guys have clearly tried to get an expensive home thrown together cheap with no regard for the fact this is supposed to be someones home.
