I had purchased the groupon for the $150 detailing. The groupon mentioned the only potential extra charge would be for an oversized vehicle, I have a Ford Fiesta. I called to schedule an appointment and nothing was mentioned about other charges, I did make sure he knew that I would be using a groupon. Nothing was said to lead me to believe that the detailing may cost more than what the voucher was worth. He wanted me to drop it off around 6, but it had to be by 8 at the latest. We dropped it off before 8, before they opened. About thirty minutes after leaving I received a call from him, he was letting me know that the cleaning would be more than what the voucher is worth and would take a few days. I told him that there was no mention of possible extra charges in the groupon listing and he replied that he can't see the groupon listing. I then told him that he didn't mention there may be extra, which he dodged. I asked how much extra it would be and he danced around the question, only telling me that dog fur costs $20. He never told me what the new price would be. He did however offer to let me give the groupon to a friend. Frustrated I told him I would be back to pick up my car and said goodbye. On the long drive back it occurred to me that maybe I could have him simply do the $150 worth of cleaning and he refused, because he didn't want his reputation to be tarnished. I ended the call and continued on my drive back to get my car. When I got there, there was no one in the front of the building where the desk is. My car key was sitting right there on the desk, in the open with no one around. I could hear them in the back. My car was the only car in the lot. I ran in, grabbed my key and left. So anyone could have done that. Anyone could have stolen my car. Thankfully I was able to have my purchase from Groupon refunded.
I would not recommend this business to anyone, unless they get a full cost total up front. As I said, nothing on his end or Groupon indicated that there might be extra charges or that the detailing could be more than what the Groupon was worth, $150. He did not disclose other costs/charges and left my vehicle completely unguarded for anyone to steal. read more
