There are detailed directions on their website and signs along the road, but it is pretty secluded and we still took a wrong turn. I'm not sure how accessible it would be in the winter without a 4x4. When we arrived at the meadery, we were offered samples of the various available meads. They were all fresh and very delicious, and we bought several bottles to bring camping with us (although they are also available at various liquor stores in Calgary). We then took a tour, which was very laid back and informative, and was given by the owner who brews the mead. I asked Lori about Frank M - the only negative review she has on all the platforms I've checked... it turns out he never even made wine in Lori's store! He is apparently a friend of a former, disgruntled employee... Apparently Google removed the review when Lori disputed it on their platform, but not sure why Yelp won't take it down? Regardless, search other platforms and see the real reviews. Everyone, except for Mr. Frank, seems to be pretty happy!

Unfortunately now, after reading the email messages Lori Dahlberg sent me yesterday, it has become clear that communication has broken down completely, and that I have exhausted all options and have no choice but to leave my honest review with hopes that Lori decides to resolve this matter promptly and fairly. They even offer samples of certain wine and beer, which gives you a better idea of whether you like something or not. This is a more upscale store, so prices are higher than say a Liquor Depot. But you get a much better selection on wine, liquor and beer. Also, if you ask them to do gift wrapping, there is a guy there who does a really amazing job. Perfect for either Christmas when you're frazzled and have no time to wrap presents or if you just hate wrapping presents in general. A good wine store that has a great selection.
