He removed four of them, and gave me NO ANTIBIOTICS neither medicine for the pain (which even the nurse there asked him if he was sure) he also never said that being many years on birth control can increase chances of infection. Three days after the procedure my jaw was locked and I couldn't eat. So I made an appointment with him. When I arrived the nurse looked worried, I was already crying with pain, he just gave me antibiotics and meds for the pain. However at that time ( a week after the procedure ( since I couldn't even open my mouth I'm sure he knew I needed to go to the hospital. Which he did not. Not only this was NEGLIGENCE but this guy had the nerve to claim our insurance in the US, even though I paid him for the procedure in Mexico he found a way for our insurance to pay for him too in the United States. Please be careful, I was 15 days at the hospital, had two surgeries and it was horrible and painful, I couldn't move my jaw and the infection moved to my neck, they had to open my cheek and neck and sew tubes to them to clean the infection.

Let's start with some useful information. On the way out you pay for parking with for the allotted time you were there. The grocery store and other little stores are on the first floor and a lot of clinics/dentist offices are on the second floor. Once you get to the second floor, there'll be someone at the main door asking you to check in and that really just states your name and how many people are with you and what office you're going to. There is a staircase, and there is an elevator to get to the second floor. The office is small but very clean but unfortunately in Mexico, what happens sometimes is that the running water stops working and you cannot use the restroom since there is no water to flush the toilet. The two girls at the front are really nice and are really inviting. Feel free to ask them any questions you have. Dr Yasmin introduced herself and she was very lovely and she is the person who did my cleaning and my teeth whitening. She was very lovely as well and she kept asking me if I was OK and was very attentive. So what happens first is that the doctor will check you out and make sure that the items you requested can actually happen that day and then someone comes and gives you a quote and if you would like to continue, you sign the quote and then the work is started. It was my very first time doing a teeth whitening, and while she was doing it, it did not hurt at all, but I did experience some teeth sensitivity around an hour later. The teeth whitening is four sessions of 15 minutes under some sort of lamp on your teeth. It is a small quaint clean office. I would definitely go back.

The problem with finding a great dentist is finding one that is super-skilled at what they do, really care about you as a patient and are affordable. It's easy to find one with one of these things, not super hard find one with two, but really, really hard to find one with all three. Dr. Ramirez has all three. With other dentists I found in Tijuana (some of which are highly rated on this site), so many are just running tourist mills. I always felt rushed, I felt pressured to get treatments I didn't need or the price I was quoted changed sometimes mid-procedure. On the other hand, Dr. Ramirez is always willing to sit and explain every problem, procedure and options at length in English which is great for Americans like me that know no Spanish. He is very honest about expected outcomes and follow-ups. It is very clear that he takes his work very seriously and really cares about you as a patient and a person. He goes out of his way to make sure the process is painless and comfortable. His finished product is the best I've had in my life. He also quotes a price and sticks with it which will be at least half and maybe more than what you would pay in the states for the exact same work. I could not be happier in finding Dr Ramirez. I have recommended him to my family and friends and even created a Yelp account just to write this long-winded review. They send in a dentist to do the diagnosis and before you know it, some assistant is going the work lol You'll want to call ahead and make sure they won't do that bait and switch tactic on you. I started this journey to finally replace broken teeth and fill in the back teeth I'd been missing for years. A family friend who works in dental tourism referred me here (he's got contacts all over Mexico if anyone needs a referral -- his site is cancunallonfour.com). After my initial consultation, we scheduled surgery to remove 14 teeth and place my implants. Dr. Leo is honestly the best -- I had some bone loss going in, but he assured me it wouldn't be an issue, and he was right. He didn't rush the bridge either; he wanted the implants to heal fully and the bone to integrate completely first. Four months later I went back to have the posts placed, and I'd healed so well we skipped temporaries and went straight to the zirconia bridge. Dr. Challi did the actual teeth, and she's truly an artist. I stayed a full week to make sure everything was perfect, and it is. They treated me with so much respect the whole way through. The clinic is at New City Medical Plaza, literally five minutes from the border, and the hotel on the other side of the plaza is excellent too -- we stayed there both trips, and the whole team was there for us every step.
