We won't stay here again and this is why: Yard and flower beds are full of weeds. Concrete driveway has multiple deep cracks with weeds sprouting through them. House is very cluttered, including the porch and hallways that lead to the bedrooms. Uncomfortable double bed. Bathroom needs updating. Towels skimpy, both in size and in number. I had a bad slip in the bathroom because the "stick-ons" weren't adequate to prevent slipping. Breakfasts were somewhat odd. Jello, macaroons, tomatoes, brownies for breakfast? These were side dishes and the main dishes were pancakes the first morning, omelets the second. (Owner did remember that my son was allergic to corn and provided an alternative, other than one made with corn syrup, for the pancakes. A very nice gesture.) I was attacked by their very large black lab when I entered the reception area rather than going through the back entrance. I received three bites: One on my finger which bled a lot. One on each leg. I was wearing jeans or I would have had more than just bad bruises on my legs. And, to top it all off, my husband suffered from what we are fairly sure was food poisoning, we suspect from the sausage served the first morning. (He'd had food poisoning before and the symptoms were identical.) The cost for all of this luxury was $90.00 per night. During the same vacation we paid $111.00 per night for a Hampton Inn room with two queen beds, breakfast included, in a nearby city. Next time we'll drive a little farther and stay in a nice hotel. read more
