I first saw his plants at San Francisco's Treasure Island market (every 4th weekend of the month) and found many new varieties not seen in the bay area. When you asked him about any plant, he tells you the technical name, what smells it has, to how big they grow to whether it's shade or sun. He does beautiful plant arrangements in pots and boxes and his prices are so reasonable for what you buy. I went to check out his plant sale at his house in Ben Lomond and he's got quite a beautiful set up and the variety is so many to choose from. He's so organized and his wife, Julie helps him (every 2nd and 3rd weekend of the month). Both are very nice and helpful. He sells beautiful maple trees in many varieties and many perennials and succulents too. He has set up on a long table what the plant may look like in bloom and the size it can be and in front of the plant are 3" pots of that plant to purchase. He has a $1. table, most of his prices varies from $2.50 and up depending on what and size of pot. Tim is very helpful with what you may need for your garden. I know I'll be going back to get more plants when he's at Treasure Island or DeAnza College (1st weekend) market. Going to his house was be great if he was closer, but it is a nice day drive and a beautiful area for a visit.

This is an indoor location (the capitola mercantile building) somewhat away from the hustle and bustle of the esplande. While the building this is in has it's own dedicated parking lot there is also the nearby beach parking-not always a sure bet in the summer -along with some city owned surface lots not too far away. This is a smaller locally owned and sourced gifts for the home kind of place. They do a fair amount of seasonal items so if artsy santa's or clever valentines day stuff is your thing then this is your spot. They also typically have slightly higher quality then the area average beach decor shop-this particularly is true where driftwood crafts are concerned. Pricing is very fair-this spot is reasonably priced. So far I haven't really seen anything that runs more then forty ish dollars and most items are less then twenty. Given that nothing here really looks cheap that is a real value. Overall this is a superior quality gift store right off the esplande.

She was extremely friendly, helpful and kind. They have many different, interesting things that would be great for gifts and homes. Definitely will go back and check the store again.
