Hoffman's Nursery and Landscaping did a wonderful job at our house! Last year Brian and Tristan…read moreand James worked out a project for our home and totally transformed the front of our property. We were so impressed and ready to move to the back this year. The work and the results totally exceeded what we wanted. They have taken the back of our property and turned it into a sanctuary for us. I trusted everything they did and suggestions they gave. All we had to do was sit back and watch the transformation. Tristan and Brian were so much fun to have around at our house during the renovation, and I literally looked forward to starting my day hanging with the guys out back. I can never thank them enough, other than to say I look forward to our next project!! Thank you Hoffmans!! Chad Maple .

This company was hired to install two retaining walls and a paver area of 900 sq ft. The company is…read moreover charging me thousands of $ over the contract price without informing me or providing change orders for me to sign. The company also was constantly wanting me to pay for the invoice for the job in full when half the job was finished. Because I have questioned the owner about the legitimacy of the thousands of $ over contract price and my desire to have him explain with documentation of the extra charges he has walked away from my job and has kept a substantial amount of my money I pre-paid him in good faith. I'm still in the process of getting my money back. Owner claims the reason for the added $ was due to excavating issues and over $4000 of gravel were needed. It was never mentioned until I wouldn't pay the invoice in full when half the job was completed. He has shown no proof of gravel deliveries when requested. He told me he hauled MY dirt to someplace they pick up gravel and didn't have any bill of ladings or proof of deliveries. I am in need of soil and would not have allowed the removal of MY soil when I have a lot across the street they could have hauled it to. The last $ amount before he just walked away from the job was $5700 over contract with no documentation. Very disappointed in my decision to choose this company for such an important home improvement.

Rural King is awesome…read more Looking for Bird Seed? They've got it. Looking for baby chicks? They've got it. Looking for farming tools? They've got it. Looking for riding mower parts? They've got it. Looking for hunting accessories? They've got it. Looking for rugged outdoor wear? They've got it. Just about everything outdoors/farming/hunting related, chances are they've got it, and chances are at a very reasonable price. Located just off of I-69 in Fort Wayne, this location is easy to get to, and it's wall-to-wall merchandise. One of the things I love about Rural King is that, as far as I know, they don't build from the ground up, but they move into empty retail spaces and just start packing shelves. This location looks like it used to be a Kroger. Kroger moves out and Rural King moves in. They don't spend a lot of time and money doing huge renovations, they just clear it out, install shelve and start stacking. That's one of the charms of Rural King (and of the the things that keeps their prices down). On this visit I was looking for a particular bird seed, and I found it on the shelf easily. Some items can be hit-or-miss and on occasion some sections can be empty, but for the most part I've never been disappointed by Rural King. Popcorn. There's a popcorn machine just inside the front door and it's the first thing you smell. You can get a small bag free. You need to do this. You're stomach is growling because you haven't had lunch yet.

When I was visiting this store this past week, I observed the rabbits for sale and noticed that…read moretheir one small hay rack shared among all was hung so high they had to stand up on hind legs to even reach it to eat. Rabbits are biologically grazing animals who need to eat constantly in a relaxed position. Hay makes up at least 80% of their entire diet, meaning it needs to be easily accessible. They are obviously stressed in the store environment, having people hover over them and reach down, I observed them running at full speed and running into the walls of the enclosure. This coupled with lack of hay is the recipe for gut stasis, a complete stop of digestion followed by death. Even if the ethical concerns of treating the animals in this way do not matter to rural king, I would assume that losing profit would. I am saddened to see such improper care at a "farm" store who you would think would train their employees with basic care practices at least. The only response I got from employees when I politely mentioned this was that the rabbits will "mess up the hay" if it's lower. They are meant to sit in the hay and eat it, so I guess this is true, but they do require more than a handful of hay hung up high for their digestion to function. This is the store at 8801 US-24, Fort Wayne, IN 46804
