If you have the option to choose another clinic instead of this one, I strongly recommend doing so…read more Apparently, the doctor at this clinic will take it personally if you ever can't wait two hours for him and will drop you as a patient in the middle of your pregnancy. I ultimately left this practice because I simply couldn't deal with it anymore. No matter how many appointments I had, I was always waiting in the exam room for over an hour. I genuinely don't understand the point of making an appointment if patients are still expected to sit there for hours. In early May, I waited TWO HOURS in the exam room. I ended up seriously inconveniencing my clients at work because I never expected that a scheduled appointment could take that long before the doctor actually came in. And what was the appointment for? Basically just asking how I was feeling and how I was eating. That's it. It honestly felt like the clinic was scheduling unnecessary appointments just to bill insurance while making patients wait for hours. And when it came to important medical information, I often had to find the answers myself and then bring them to the doctor. For example, I have a negative blood type and my husband has a positive one. I had to learn from online forums that this can require a specific injection during pregnancy. When I asked my doctor about it, his response was basically, "Oh, your husband is positive? Well, yes, then you'll need the injection." Wait... isn't this something the doctor is supposed to ask about and monitor? Why am I having to research important pregnancy-related issues myself and then bring the information to my doctor just to confirm it? Then in June, my appointment had to be rescheduled because the doctor wasn't available on Wednesday. I came in for the new appointment and waited for 40 minutes. I couldn't wait any longer because I had to get to work, and this appointment had already been moved to a day that wasn't convenient for me. I asked what was going on and why I was constantly waiting so long. One employee genuinely tried to help me and went to ask the doctor what was happening. Another employee, however, became defensive and told me that I hadn't even been waiting for 50 minutes yet and that this was a completely normal wait time because there were other patients. I asked, "Then what's the point of scheduling appointments at specific times if patients are expected to wait for hours anyway?" I was told that if I wasn't happy, nobody was forcing me to stay and I was free to leave. Well, thank you. That was my last appointment at this clinic. On top of everything else, they repeatedly sent the wrong medication prescription to my pharmacy, completely ignoring the specific form of the medication I needed. Every time, I had to call the clinic and ask them to send the correct prescription because the medication they initially prescribed wasn't suitable for me. I have since found a new doctor and a new clinic, and the difference is night and day. I'm seen on time and finally feel like I'm receiving the care and attention I deserve. Unfortunately, I also had to complete additional tests and screenings that should have been done earlier in my pregnancy at Dr. Dennis Roberts' clinic, but for some reason were never completed. Pregnancy and childbirth are such an important and vulnerable time in a person's life. I strongly recommend finding another clinic if you have the option. Based on my experience, this is not a place where I felt properly cared for or supported.

I share this so women can make an informed decision regarding their care…read more I had breast cancer while I was under their care throughout my pregnancy, that went undetected. I do NOT recommended these doctors at all. I was seen primarily by Tatiana SHIDAKI for most of my pregnancy, during my third trimester I developed a palpable lump on my breast, on my Ob check up I was seen by Dr.Benitez that particular day, I let her know about the lump, first of all that whole appointment was rushed, she had her hand on the door knob while I was letting her know about the lump, she wasn't even going feel it. What she said was that it was normal to develop one during pregnancy, I said, "you aren't even going to feel it?" It was then that she felt it and said it was fine, I asked to be referred to have an ultrasound, thankfully she didn't give me any push back and she said she will send me to a outside facility to have the lump seen via ultrasound. At checkout I let the front desk know to please never have me scheduled with Maria Benitez again, she rushed the appointment. I was able to see Tatiana SHIDAKI before my delivery which was a scheduled c section and I specifically remember expressing concerns and worries and asking her, "but you will be there right?" , regarding delivery, and she said "yes". I whole heartedly feel she lied to me, she isn't even an MD, she was not going to be at the hospital when I delivered. Spoiler alert, a doctor I've never met before deliver my son via SCHEDULED c-section, no MD from AWH was there. I am extremely disappointed and I wish I would have know that they will be doing the bare minimum prenatal care. I finally get the ultrasound done AFTER my delivery at 3 weeks post partum. That is a whole other story, but the point is that this place had me in their care the whole time and missed my breast cancer, some labs were off and I wish I would of pushed to have more test done to see what was going on. Anyways I get my u/s done and they say everything's fine come back in 6months it isn't cancer. I go on about my day, but the lump kept growing, so I called AWH and requested to have a referral sent to the diagnostic office to have another ultrasound, I did not feel comfortable waiting 6 months, only three months had gone by. I did have to go in personally and have a provider look at the lump. That day I saw a new provider and thankfully she sent in the referral. When I'm finally diagnosed at 5 months post partum, Tatiana SHIDAKI called me over the phone to deliver the news and that she will refer me to an oncologist. At 7 months postpartum I went in to have my c section scar looked at and took the opportunity to express my disappointment with Tatiana. When I brought up the topic of my cancer, she says, "I don't know why they had me call you with those results since I didn't even send in the referral for the ultrasound" I was shocked, she was the provider I mainly saw for my pregnancy, I'm thinking that's why the Office had her call me to tell me I had stage 3 breast CANCER. If you are still here, thank you and please advocate for yourself, if you can, please don't come to this office, they do the bare minimum, they rush their appointments if you let them and have little to no patient care/bedside manner. Maybe my cancer could have been found sooner since the lump developed during my pregnancy maybe it wouldn't have, we will never know.

I had an appointment at 10:45AM, I arrived on time and yet it still took them 45 minutes to see me. I saw other guess walk in after me stating they had an appointment after my time and they STILL WERE SEEN BEFORE ME! The staff is very unprofessional as well. The two ladies sitting at the front desk are having personal conversations, making me wait for their conversation to end so I could hand them my paperwork. Once I was finally seen, I went in for a urine sample for proof of pregnancy and the lady was extremely rude. I am trying to ask her a question and she is walking extremely fast, making it difficult to communicate and keep up. She also took a blood sample and didn't even tell me what it was for. So now your clinic has my blood in the lab for WHATEVER REASON! Nurses shouldn't be allowed to just draw someone blood and not tell them what it is about. My visit has finally came to an end, and the receptionist schedules me another appointment. She is very ditzy and I feel that she shouldn't be the face of your business because she seems like she struggles to comprehend ANYTHING! She first hands me my appointment card for, and as I am walking out the door she calls me back and tells me she mad a mistake. The mistake was she scheduled me the day the nurse Angie was off. Then she blames her mistake on being new. So now I have new appointment on June 26th, 2020 @ 8:30AM with Angie. I NEVER RECEIVED MY PHONE CALL APPOINTMENT. I never received my phone call, so I call the office on June 26th around 10AM, informing the staff that I never received the phone call. So they place me on hold and inform me that they cant find Angie so they will forward me to her voicemail. Hours goes by, so I call the office back because I haven't heard back from Angie, the staff then tells me "oh she is off today". I call the office back on the following Monday and ask to speak to Angie because I still haven't heard anything from her. Once again Angie is NOT IN THE OFFICE. So I call the following day (Tuesday) and ANGIE STILL ISNT THERE! So I carefully listen to Angie voicemail, and she is "out of the office" Tuesday-Thursday. So I left another detailed message and I stated in the message numerous times that this message is urgent BECAUSE I AM PREGNANT AND THIS IS PRENATAL SERVICE! Til this day July 8th, 2020, I still HAVENT HEARD FROM ANGIE. I had a HORRIBLE experience with this health center. I will notify my health insurance and let them know that services wasn't really provided. All you did was take a urine sample that is it. I will also inform my insurance how this company draws blood and doesn't tell you what it is for, and I refuse to let them pay for that service.
