She will take her time with you and make sure you feel your absolute best. She even will figure out what your insurance will cover. It is so incredible to have a team mate who truly wants me to have the best life, and didn't stop until these labs were optimal. I think she's great. She also is knowledgeable about lichen sclerosis, which is another specialty that is rare to find in a gyno doctor. She always remembers who I am and even details about my life. There is a wait at the office, but for me it's worth it. I just schedule my day around knowing that she takes her time with every patient, and when it's my turn I'm grateful she is listening to me.

She is the main reason I continue to come back, and I trust her medical judgment. That said, the front desk and overall follow-up still need improvement. While phone answering has gotten better compared to the past, there is still a lack of urgency. I left 2-3 voicemails regarding a culture I had done with Biocor and waited about two weeks without a callback. During that time, I called the office multiple times just trying to get an update. Eventually, I went in person, and suddenly the results were available and the prescription was sent to the pharmacy. Unfortunately, I had to go through my symptoms for over 9 days longer than necessary, which was very frustrating. Dr. Bodon herself is great, but better communication, follow-up, and urgency from the front desk and assistants would make a big difference in the overall patient experience.

Traumatizing Experience - Uncompassionate Doctors Ruined What Should Have Been Beautiful Moments…read more I had been going to Advanced Women's Healthcare in La Quinta since I was 17 years old. I recently switched gynecologists after moving out of the valley and into the city, and only now have I fully realized what a horrible office and practice this truly is. It's not the employees who ruined it--far from it. The staff is great; Tatiana, in particular, is amazing and always wonderful. In this case, it's the complete opposite of what usually happens: the employees are the highlight, but the actual doctors are uncompassionate and careless. There are no real words to describe how deeply let down I was by these doctors. During my first labor, I was treated as if I had already done this before--like I should just know everything. No one explained what natural labor feelings were. I was never told that shivering is a normal part of the labor process. Worse, when my doctor got impatient because the baby was stuck and we were waiting for a contraction, they just went ahead and sliced me (an episiotomy) so the baby could come out. That was Dr. Passini. My second labor was even more traumatizing. Two months before I gave birth, my husband suffered a life-altering accident that left him paralyzed from the waist down. I spent the last couple of months of my pregnancy completely alone while he was in rehab, dealing with immense emotional stress, confusion, and grief. When I went into labor, the pain was excruciating--the epidural was not inserted correctly and didn't work at all, so I felt every single labor pain. My husband, freshly out of the hospital just a couple of weeks earlier, was in the room hearing me scream and cry. His trauma from the accident triggered a severe PTSD reaction. The male doctor who was delivering turned around, looked my husband directly in the eyes, and said, "You need to get it together." After I gave birth, I have no real memory or recollection of anything--I just remember the doctor handing the baby over to the nurses to give to me, and that's the last I saw of him until my postpartum appointment. At that first postpartum visit, I started expressing the intense emotions and feelings I was going through, which were clearly linked to postpartum depression--made 100% understandable by everything my family had endured. I explained how these emotions were consuming my chest to the point where I couldn't breathe. The doctor's only response was, "Oh yeah, that's normal. You're gonna go through that stuff, but everything should be fine. You should be fine," delivered with such careless facial expressions. I wasn't treated like a patient; I was just another dollar sign. Throughout my entire nine-month pregnancy, I only saw two out of the four doctors scheduled for labor and delivery--each one just once. How are you supposed to build any connection or trust with people who are supposed to know you and your case when you're not just another number on a piece of paper? Now that I've switched to a new gynecologist, I'm experiencing everything I went through before--but in a new location with actual compassion, explanation, and care. I can't describe the level of trauma and PTSD this practice has caused me. Giving birth is supposed to be one of the most beautiful, special moments of your life, but these people--this practice, these doctors--took that away from me. To them, you're just another dollar; they do not care about you as a person. I am strongly recommending that you do NOT come to this practice. Yes, giving birth in the Palm Springs but there are other doctor offices that will treat you with so much more dignity, respect, and genuine good intentions and feelings toward you during labor and delivery. This experience has left lasting scars, and I wish I had known sooner. Please learn from my story and choose a provider who truly sees and supports you.

It takes a couple months to get you on your right dose after bloodwork and level testing, but it's very worth it. The team is very filled with knowledge in their specialty and they're very down to business with getting you help. It takes a lot of self consistency and sticking with the plan on our end for the doctors job to come in effect but the second you start getting treated and feeling good that part becomes easy. Grateful to this place for bringing me back to life! They had to cut a check of $2k back to me for basically balance billing. They bill my insurance and instead of staying in compliance to their contract with my insurance they chose to charge me additionally to cover the difference they are to comply with from sed insurance! This is my 3rd pregnancy and it seems they are doing the same thing! Be very careful with how you are being billed by this office and DO NOT be intimidated to ask all of the questions you need to. I had to basically harass the office to make it right! It's awful that they put expecting parents through this additional stress, only in hopes that you think they are billing you correctly simply because they are "professionals"...not very professional of you ask me!
