My fave smoothie joint! This one is cool because it has seating for 20 inside, maybe 4-6 can sit outside PLUS it has a drive through window! Staff is helpful (perhaps all the healthy junk they are indulging in!) and will remind you of specials, help you choose between items and answer questions about protein, energy or the other optional add-ins. Any smoothie can be made vegan and they have a great selection of additional items, such as zucchini bread (my personal fave), expresso chip cookies, Kind bars, One bars, Gatorade and water bottles. My most frequent order is Twig & Berries (insert "What about Mary" joke here) and I find the light or small to be very filling. They use real fruit so it will fill you up faster than berry flavoring and you won't crash from the sugar high. My advice is get something sweet and add protein and energy. Not my favorite smoothie place but it wasn't bad. My usual smoothie places are Smoothie King and Rooted and I have to say that I think I prefer the smoothies at those places over Planet Smoothie. I ordered the strawberry colada smoothie and even the small was a bit on the pricy side - I paid over $5 for 16 ounces and the smoothie was unfortunately bland and there were big chunks of coconut in the smoothie that made it very unpleasant to drink. This could very well be a situation where I ordered the wrong drink for me, but it worries me that a fruit smoothie was bland and had a bad texture to it. Normally that comes down to how the smoothies are made more so than the flavor profile of the smoothie. I also wasn't very pleased with how they were handling their drive thru in terms of preventing the spread of COVID. They had their pens soaking in hand sanitizer but I thought it was a bit odd that I had to sign for something that cost $5. They had the receipt on a plastic lid that was probably from their fruit shipments, but that was not being sanitized between uses from what I saw even though that would be what everyone is touching. The women in the drive thru were also not wearing masks and they did not have a plastic shield-like protector at their face-level like other places in the area have and their employees don't wear masks. I may end up coming back here at some point, but I do not think it is very likely. read more

My daughter and I went for a couple of smoothies after our walk yesterday. My daughter go the Chocolate Elvis (chocolate, peanut butter and bananas mixed with almond milk and frozen yogurt) is out of this world. 300 calories for a light (16 oz) size and we split it! I satisfied my sweet craving and we added a fat burner to it as well. It cost a little over $5 and we both just loved how flavorful it was. I was by myself at lunch time yesterday and didn't want to get fast food so I decided to drop by Planet Smoothie for a healthy and filling blended treat. This was my first time in the shop and I thought it was cute, it's themed, as the name suggests, in a "world" motif, a globe hangs by the door and all of the decor is in green and blue. I glanced at the menu which was divided into categories like "Energy," and "Weight Loss," making it easy for me to make my selection. I really liked that each of the Weight Loss smoothies, which include some kind of fat burning powder, weren't named things that gave them away, so to speak. I ordered the Leapin Lizard...strawberries, peaches, and Fat Burner. It was delicious! My small smoothie was $4.79, a little more expensive then I'd like to pay for a small smoothie. A pretty standard smoothie place. Their drive through is convenient, the staff is always really nice and they give out dog treats if you come through with a canine companion. Their largest shakes are seriously huge. It's a great place to grab something sweet that's not too bad for you, although I'd recommend checking out their nutritional info before making a choice if you're concerned - some of their largest shakes are like 1,000 calories which is half a day's food for most people. read more

Planet Smoothie is the place to go if you want a filling, slightly less bad for you but definitely delicious frozen drink. I greatly appreciate that Planet Smoothie not only makes all of the nutritional information available online, but that they also have very customize-able drinks. What I don't appreciate is that the labels (like weight loss drinks) can be a bit deceiving - many of the drinks *not* in the weight loss category are actually lower-calorie and you can ask them to add that powder that "boosts your metabolism" (I don't really believe that.) At the end of the day, it's still a cup full of sugar. But it's tasty and not near as high calorie as many other similar places. The inside of this store is always very clean and the staff have always been friendly. It also has a drive-through on the side but they aren't always aware that you are there - so you might have to ring the little bell they have. Additionally, the drinks take some time to prepare so I think it's easier just to go on in, but if you do go in through the drive-through you can just turn your car off to save gas/pollute less. If you take your pup they have little treats for them too! read more

I've been going here for years and they are always willing to accommodate my dietary needs because I can't have dairy so I switch up the ingredients when I go sometimes although it is also wonderful they already have smoothie without dairy. As I talked about in another recent review, I've had some trouble eating solid food lately as a consequence of having my jaw broken. So, when I went for my post-surgery follow up at the UC health center down the street, I asked google where to get a good smoothie and this location came up. I love their menu, including the carry out menu that lists all of the nutritional information for each individual ingredient so you can choose your add ons. The wait was almost non-existent, the staff attentive, and the smoothie pretty damn good. I went with a very basic Cacao banana with protein, and it wasn't substantially different from any protein shake I mix up at home myself, but being able to do that on the road (or I could have gotten more adventurous and added a lot in) is a nice option. Even better, this place offers a drive-thru, which is just a damn good idea in general. If you're up in West Chester and need a smoothie, drive on by and check them out. read more

I tried to give this smoothie place a chance and I was highly disappointed. That was my first time going there and the shorter girl (there were two) that was there, her clothes were very unprofessional. They were dirty, wet, and her shorts were entirely too short. I don't want to see that when I go into a place that serves food. I never knew that making a smoothie was that messy of a process I guess... They also charged me extra for Greek yogurt that they did not have, after they swiped my card for it, so I had to use the regular ingredient that originally came with that (was not refunded). After paying extra for my smoothie, the remainder of what was in the blender (which was a significant amount) was still there. I asked if I could have the rest of it and they told me I would have to pay extra?! I already paid extra for it so why would you charge me again? Also, knowing that I did not have a good experience there, the other girl sarcastically said "have a good day! " as I was about to walk out even though I did not even interact with her. I have a serious issue starting tonight with this place. I have always been one to enjoy the smoothies and food here. I walked in there tonight about five minutes before closing because I was stuck in traffic and made it just in time. I understand that sucks cause I too work in food service and I'm sorry. One of my friends who was looking forward to a smoothie couldn't decide what to get and the short blond behind the counter was so rude and completely disgusted with us. She said word for word "do you know what you want yet" my friend-"um not 100%"her-"ok WELL we close in to minutes" slammed my review clipboard on the counter and stormed off. He ended up not even getting one cause she was so unwelcoming. Very disappointed and you are loosing my service.
