I joined this gym because my father in law loves the PF in another state. I couldn't wait for the classes and to finally start working towards a body I can be proud to show off and be healthy again. I signed up for a class, drove 45mins to be told there isn't a trainer and they don't offer classes right now. Members at this location are paying the same as someone whom attends a PF that is open 24hours, has a trainer, and classes. I wish the gym opened at midnight on Monday for the start of the "corporate" work week. The gym is now under new management so hopefully fingers crossed a trainer and some classes will be added and hopefully 24hours will be in the near future. read more

I used to love going to this gym late at night to eliminate demons in my head. Would look forward to the 30 min drive with just myself and would love arriving to a low capacity gym where I could just focus on myself. It's such a shame they aren't open 24hrs anymore. When I heard the news they started closing at 9pm I almost shed a tear. I would never think Planet Fitness would ruin my life like this but they sure did.. Terrible! I cancelled my membership about 6 months ago, paid the termination fee, and now am still getting charged! I called the store and they have no record of me cancelling or ever even going to the gym. They did not try to correct the issue that was their fault. I can't believe a business can act this way! this place in Dubuque is such a joke first they changed their hours from open 24 hours to opening to 5 am then today I go there at 5 there is absolutely no one there...there is a group of about 30 who are there everyday when they open and nothing no lights on no employees NOTHING! also their idea of fixing equipment is to throw some duct tape on it. I hope something else closer to me opens because I drive 20 minutes to go to the gym and you it pissed me off to go there today and have to turn around and go home read more

Love it when I am there but wish they were open 24/7 like most Planet Fitness. Very welcoming environment just wish it had better weekend hours. I work many night past it's closing. I have gone to many Planet Fitness' in other cities and they are open 24/7 I feel like Dubuque is a big enough community to support this. read more

love this GYM! Gyms can feel lonely sometimes. This staff is wonderful and they are not judgemental. I have witnessed how they treat me and others. My neighbor goes to this gym and to describe her she is "a little off". A sweet woman who experienced an accident years ago that has left her just "a little off". The staff are never condescending to her, they don't make comments she won't understand. They give her a huge smile and know her name. I see her drive past my house to go to the gym every day...very inspirational. Thank you to Planet Fitness for hiring such fantastic people with genuine interest in others. We signed up before the club opened. BAD Decision We gone in to cancel our membership before it opened. Found out it wasn't canceled a week later. Mailed a letter and was assured the membership was canceled. Three months later, checked out bank account, membership not canceled. It's amazing how you can open up an account without ID but you need it to cancel. It's NOT a bank account. If they didn't see our faces to open the darn membership, why do they need to see our faces to close it. Here's the kicker, Send in a letter certified mail and they'll cancel it. Now what if someone wants to play a practical joke and cancel someone's membership and send in a letter? The club has no way of proving signature, ID if that person never gone in and shown ID. Isn't that backwards? Shouldn't they ask for ID before accepting your money? For a new establishment in a small town, this is NOT the way to go. We're sticking to the local gym like we started to do. I have a friend that is experiencing the same thing in another Planet Fitness downstate. We'd rather put the money back into a local business owner than a corporate conglomerate that can't seem to grip Identity theft procedures. It pays to have quality over quantity. Buyer BEWARE, cheaper doesn't mean better. read more
