7/2022 ~ Thank you again for cleaning my vertical dryer vent. We absolutely did every cat hair covered blanket in our house before you arrived. (1 ~ very plugged up to 4.8 ~ Quite good) I liked that this company will go on the roof to fully clean my vertical dryer vent. They sent me before/after photos. The guys were really polite and nice but the work was just not it, before they started they were sitting outside in the truck as the equipment warmed up, they had placed blue tape over all the vents not currently being used to pull dirt out of and I walked around and had to fix the blue tape on almost all of the vents because they didn't actually cover the entire vent. There were 5 vents just totally skipped over and not covered so I walked back out to the truck and asked them for materials to cover the missed vents, they did apologize but still I shouldn't be having to do that. walking around rignt after they left I have broken vents, a vent that is hanging out of the ceiling, plastic still on a vent that was half in half out and broken... I was busy with the baby and kids so I didn't see it all until after... the owner went above and beyond to rectify it all but it all should have never happened in the first place... read more

I called Planet Duct to clean my dryer vent duct because our dryer kept give a blocked duct code. We have had problems with the dryer, (another story)..the vents were cleaned by another company 8 weeks earlier, (or so we thought)..anyway, Tyler and Prescott showed up on time and used a camera to inspect the duct...low and behold, after 15 minutes of professional cleaning, a huge very matted thick heavy lint blockage was removed. As an earlier reviewer said, the team of 2 worked non stop for probably 5 hours. They photographed all the ducts before and AFTER and sent them to me as jpegs......no zombies down there but tons of huge dust bunnies and junk. House is 80+ years old and nobody knows when, or if, the ducts were cleaned. Their prices was competitive and watching the two techs at work showed it was worth it. For those not familiar with duct cleaning, it is not a one stop fits all process. Do not select the company strictly by price. Companies provide different services. Get specifics on the work to be performed, the process and equipment used. It makes a difference! Not all duct cleaning service is the same. Be sure to hire a true professional service that is NADCA certified. A certified professional follows proper guidelines and equipment and cleans the entire HVAC system, not just the ducts. When you shop for a serve, ask what their services provide. If they do not perform the NADCA guidelines, you are not getting a full and complete service. Spend the extra money to get the entire HVAC system cleaned which is the proper method to obtain truly clean ductwork. Otherwise, why bother cleaning only the ducts, you will still have dust from other HVAC components travel through the ductwork. Why pay for a partial cleaning. If all of the following services are not performed then you are not getting a thorough cleaning that is of the highest standards required for a proper cleaning using the proper equipment and negative pressure vacuum. Go to website NADCA.com to get informed. In summary, the entire HVAC system should be cleaned. Failure to clean all components of the system can result in recontamination of the entire system, thus minimizing the benefits of cleaning. Just as you wouldn't clean only half of your living room floor, you also would not want to clean only part of your HVAC system. NADCA recommends cleaning the entire HVAC system, including the following components: air ducts coils drain pan registers grills air plenum blower motor and assembly heat exchanger air filter air cleaner In my search, I only found two companies in Colorado Springs that were NADCA certified and Planet Duck used a truck mounted unit which is more powerful. My research paid off and I'm confident I made the correct choice. Duct cleaning is more than sticking a swirling vacuum hose into your ductwork. Do your research, ask the potential company what procedures they provide and how long their service will take. It should be between 2 to 4 hours if using 2 people for an average size home. Planet Duct sent Jordan and Brandon to my house. They were wonderful. Polite, detailed, respectful of my home and conscientious to meet and exceed my expectations. My home is 3,000 sf. Brandon and Jordan showed up on time and completed the job in about 4 hours and that's what a proper cleaning takes but depends on the number of vents you have. Now that's a thorough cleaning. The two workmen who came to our home, Ryan and Julian, were presentable and engaging, and did a perfect job of . . . our ducts hadn't been cleaned since our home was built in 1986--so they had a job on their hands! They left everything in the house perfectly clean in and around where they worked, and our home smells fresh now. I had one duct cleaning company come out to give us an estimate for cleaning our 2nd floor dryer vent, which vents out to the roof. They told me they didn't go on the roof and not many companies do. It sounded preposterous. But Planet Duct didn't even bat an eye. They just came out, got my dryer vent cleared out and even wiped my dryer clean. Their notification system is pretty cute. They refer to their trucks as airships. It gave me a little chuckle to see that on text. The service tech gave me a very professional packet outlining their services. My dryer vent problem wouldn't be rated 'Average' by dryer vent dryer obstacle standards: it would be rated 'Difficult.' Before the Planet Duct team of Brandon and Marcus (I believe that's his name) came to fix this, already a tall sized kitchen garbage can full of of lint had been pulled out by myself and a handyman doing his best. The handyman and I realized after about two hours and after a dryer vent brush got stuck, that professionals needed to be called in. That's where Planet Duct worked their magic. I like to troubleshoot house problems myself when possible, but sometimes the time comes for professionals to be called. In this case, they would be considered surgeons. Total professionals in every aspect from curtesy, troubleshooting, and explaining the problem all the way to clean up. A+ and highly recommended. read more

I used this company because they got a lot of good reviews. I was disappointed. First off they got to my house late towards the end of the day after the window time they had given me. They were way more pricey than the last company I had used so I figured they would do an incredible job. That's why I waited for them and didn't cancel. Once the were done, I noticed a lots of things array. They left several vents in the house covered with the blue tape they use. They bumped my trim with something, causing the wood to crack and chip and didn't tell me, they didn't screw the return ducts back on properly...the screws weren't fully screwed back in. I have no idea what my ducts ended up looking like because they didn't bother to email me pictures as promised. And last but not least, because they felt bad for being so late, they offered to spray my ducts with an allergen product to clean the air. This I had not signed up for. It is supposedly a $125 value or something in that range. I agreed happily. It has now been 2 months since they came and I can attest that the allergen spray did not help or clear up my allergies (drippy nose). I wasn't going to write anything on Yelp, but the more I find that they did that was out of order, the more I changed my mind. Thus, this is my review. read more

Superb service! We have a "challenging" 2nd floor dryer vent which routes through our roof. Tyler and Jorden (twins) worked both efficiently and excellently to take care of an issue that other duct cleaners only made worse. This team accessed the roof and took care of the problem and took exiting air pressure readings to ensure the dryer was working/venting properly. Tyler and Jorden were very professional and polite, wearing both shoe covers and masks while working in my home. We just used this company for our duct and bathroom fan cleaning. Our home had been a rental prior to our buying, and had several dogs. We were all having allergy attacks of some type and with the Covid 19 going on we decided to give cleaning the ducts a try. We are all breathing easier now and don't have the allergy issues as bad. The guys who came to do the job were great, polite, and friendly. They took pictures of before and after cleaning and showed us what the had removed.
