Excellent library with friendly, helpful staff…read more Although it seems small compared to some libraries that I have visited, the selection is very good. If the book you want isn't there, you can always look in the database online and request it; they email you when it arrives! It is easy to spend hours in here as there are comfy chairs and huge windows that open up to (what I assume is) Whiting Forest in the back. During autumn, it is very picturesque. For a chat you can go to the cafeteria-looking area but if you need silence there is thankfully a quiet room. And of course thank glob for free wifi. Checking out is very fast since all you have to do is put the books on the pad and scan your library card. You can even save paper and stay organized by having the receipt emailed to you. No more losing receipts and forgetting due dates! If you can't figure it out, the staff will be happy to help you without making you feel like a doofus. You can also put a hold on a book from another cooperating library in the area, which they will send here for a small fee of $0.25. The only thing I can complain about is their slim graphic novel section and the prices of renting DVDs. Older movies are $1.25 each and you can keep them for a week, but newer movies are $2.50 and you can only have them for four days. Although the selection was good you may be better off at Family Video, honestly. However, if I do find a library with a lot of graphic novels and free DVD rental, it is unexpected and a really nice surprise.

An amazing library with a superior staff. Youth area is a particularly stellar area. Reference…read moredesk is superb. Cities ten times our size would be proud to call this library their own. I will put the staff here up against any library staff anywhere for knowledge, work ethic, helpfulness, and effectiveness.

So if you know me, you know I'm a bookworm. Yes, a big fat striped slow moving bookworm. Not…read morereally all that, but I do love to read. So, what better place to go than here? They have the internets for everyone who doesn't want to pay for it at home, or wants to secretly go on a dating site, or send ransom emails out to people without them tracing it back to your house (lol jk)... not sure what you want to do, but it's here. And available. There are comfy chairs, a children's area, and even DVD's that you can rent. Plus books books books! Downstairs is where the secret book store is. Check it out. It's called the Book Nook. I volunteer my time there to get money for the library to be able to buy cool things and the internet and comfy chairs. The Book Nook has thousands of new and older books of all types for sale. How much are they, you ask? Darn cheep! Holy cats.... I'm talking anywhere from free to $4.00- and those are the current year hardcover books that are $4! Can't beat that! They also take donations... so if you feel generous, feel free to give the cashier an extra $5... or $50 :) It also goes for a lot of children's activities- like story hour, craft time and even events for people that are longer in the tooth and want something fun to do without spending a lot of money. Yes, the library is our friend, folks. Get off your phone for a day.... pick out a few good books and escape to different lands and relationships. It's all good. P.S. There are also a few Pokemon lurking about, and a poke ball station.

I very politely came in hoping to get a library card. I showed my paperwork and was very rudely…read moretold that I live in a different township which is something I simply didn't realize. It was no big deal to me. The manager then was immediately pulled over, grabbed the county map in an irritated manner, and pointed to the different city lines like I was an idiot - with the most attitude in her voice. I was never going to throw a fit over a library card. Had they been kinder, I would have been willing to pay the non-resident fee for the card. But I don't want to give this place a dime after the way I was treated. You'd think they'd be nicer if they need the funding like other reviews suggest...
