A fantastic asset for a small community--or travelers who need a little peace, quiet, and wi-fi to sqeeze some work into an up-north getaway (I'd be the latter). The library is spacious, clean, and comfortable. You can plop onto one of the cushioned chairs to bang on your laptop for a while, or sidle onto one of the sofas to lounge with a book. Wi-fi is free with no password required. There are public access computers if you don't have your own.
Book selection is limited, as is inevitable in a smaller library, but there is a good diversity of quality titles relative to comparable libraries. Of special interest to visiting fishermen is the fly fishing collection. A book sale fundraiser is held in early June, and when I go I always manage to score some good novels and nonfiction titles for less than a buck each.
This libary is just one more reason Grayling punches above its weight in cultural offerings. read more
