Food is pretty good. Decent selection of beers, including IPAs. Keeps busy crowds, so an alright place for socializing. read more

Pj Whelihan’s - Broiled crab cake sandwich. - Sports Bars Near Me - Bethlehem, Pennsylvania

See all

There was 4 girls at the desk to seat us looking on there phones it was a effort to do there job. The wings taste like cardboard with sauce on them not the first time for this but the last time here read more

Love PJs and excited to be near one living in Bethlehem. Not as charming as the one in Allentown but food is equally in every measure. My main issue was ordering out - sliders all over the place and an order of buffalo chicken dip was half full which isn't worth the nine dollars. Allentown always filled the cup to the brim. I will most likely never order out from this location again and stick to Allentown. read more

Delicious food! The buffalo chicken sandwich is a crowd pleaser!!! Always accommodating when out large after work group goes out! Favorite palace for wings read more

The food quality is poor and overpriced. My partner and I came into PJ's for dinner. I ordered the tuna steak sandwich (on the specials menu), but the waitress recommended I order something different. She said the description was better than the actual food. I appreciated her candor and opted for the fish and chips served with cole slaw. The fish was frozen. It came in triangle and chicken-strip shapes, and was flavorless. Honestly, they might as well have served frozen fish sticks from the grocery store. The fries, although from fresh cut potatoes, were undercooked and soggy. They also served 2 ounces (literally, 2 ounces...2 bites) of cole slaw that came pre-made and tasted like it was going bad. This dish was priced $11.99. It wasn't worth $1.99. My partner ordered the Smokin' Pork BBQ sandwich, described as slow roasted pulled pork. He got a dried out patty of pork on a ciabatta roll. The roll was the only good part of his meal. The copper ale was average, but nothing to rave about. Although the waitress was pleasant, the service was slow and she was inattentive. We waited 20+ minutes to get our bill. We contemplated calling the restaurant from a cell phone to let them know we needed our bill. We will never step foot in a PJ's again. read more

Some of the best chicken wings in the lehigh valley. They are the sponsor of the wing bowl eating contest so you would expect that. Beer selection is usually pretty good year round also. Sweet and spicy wings are the way to go here. They also have very good loaded tots. Price can be a little expensive for casual dining but not crazy. Staff leaves something to be desired sometimes but usually very nice and friendly. read more

First time at PJ's. Saturday night 8:30 pm. Wait time was minimal.. Probably about 7/8 minutes.. So not bad. Lively atmosphere. Just about what one would expect for a sports bar & restaurant. Server Ashley K. was nice.. Not bubbly but still got job done and I was fine with that because too much cheerleading at table when ordering can come across bad.. So I ordered Philly cheesesteak sandwich with Alex fries (based on friend's recommendation.. No longer on menu but they still make on request). Philly cheesesteak was good and reasonably priced.. I would come back again. read more

Been here twice and service is a joke. Plenty of staff blundering around just no motivation. Managers should be fired along with most of staff. Total waste of time read more

Have been there twice since they opened. Wanted to give them a fair trial and since they are super close to my home i was hoping to like it but i really don't. It is very crowded and loud. The food, which we sampled quite a few things on the menu between family and friends, and I really was not impressed with any of it. Probably will not return. read more

I would have given this a four star rating, but the atmosphere, which is great for watching a game, was terrible for listening to the game. Even though the audio was blasting, it was soooo loud that not only could you not hear yourself think, but you actually couldn't even understand what the announcers were saying. It was just a loud garbled mess. As for the food, it was just okay. read more

Food with great, service great, Karina (hope I got it right) our server was friendly, prompt and very helpful despite how crowded it was...Had a half hour wait but the food was worth it..great location as it was right next door to the hotel I was staying in..tried going back thee next night and just as crowded so I opted to go across the street to Dickeys BBQ...BIG MISTAKE...oh well live and learn...Would I recommend it..sure if you don't mind a wait...the one missing star was for the fries which were lukewarm...But...still tasty read more

I have been here many times. This is my first review. This place is the best place in the Valley to watch sports. Their wings are great, their beer selection is great, their service is friendly, and prompt. BUT... Today the food was below par. We started with wings, very good. My wife had a chicken breast salad with grilled peaches. Chicken was dry. The grilled pears were not grilled. Just a cold peach with zero flavor. My baby back ribs were dried out, and just reheated, with way too much barbecue sauce just poured over them. The worst part though was we decided to split the featured dessert vanilla ice cream, with caramelized bananas, chocolate and caramel sauce ,loaded with crushed butterfingers. Sounds good right? We got vanilla ice cream with brown bananas. Nothing else. I rarely complain at restaurants but I did. They were extremely nice and apologized. They did not charge us for my wife's salad or our dessert. I will chalk this up to a bad day in the kitchen. We will definitely be coming back. They surprised us with a gift certificate to come back. read more

9 of us went to dinner 1 of some what enjoyed our meal... Needless to say NONE of us will be back terrible service to go long with terrible food read more

This place really needs an attitude make over. The waitresses are extremely rude, impolite and inattentive. The manager, Tim, was also extremely rude and very condescending. If you want subpar food, bad service, but good drinks this is your place. Go and drink so you don't have to remember the food you ate. Would rather go through a McDonald's drive thru before coming back here. read more

My husband and I have frequented this restaurant over the past several years and have always had good experiences until last weekend. We were seated but the hostess never gave us the specials menu so we had to ask for it. We were seated next to the door and it was so cold it was unbearable. The weather was cool but the restaurant still had the air conditioning on in October. We finally asked to be reseated. The woman next to us was wearing her own coat and also her husbands as it was that cold in the restaurant. We started with the Southwest Egg roll which was good. My husband had a burger which he was satisfied with. I had the shrimp taco special...VERY DISAPPOINTING. Three very small tacos came out with very little in them. The shrimp and slaw could have fit into one taco shell. When I looked more closely at the shrimp, I saw that each taco had 1 shrimp cut in half! Really, one shrimp?!?!. We always liked this restaurant for the beer selection and the sports but this was SAD. Where was management? Unlikely to return for food. Maybe just drinks. read more

I used to go to the Allentown location and although crowded, the wings were always hot fresh and amazing. 5-6years later I returned to the area with family and we tried this location. Very nice spot but wings were lukewarm and did not live up to my past experience sadly. Maybe it is the passing of time, maybe the location but what a bummer. read more

All this place has going for it are a nice selection of beers on tap (always changing, always something new to try) and slightly above average burgers and wings. It is usually crowded and always noisy. The outdoor patio is near the septic system, so you get a nice sewer zephyr every few minutes. Avoid. Service is spotty from the overworked servers, but your order is usually fast. Some weekend nights, a DJ comes in to play his MacBook and the music is obnoxious, so go earlier, not after 10PM. read more

Went to PJs for lunch with my boyfriend last weekend and it was AMAZING!!!! The food was great and the service was even better. Our waitress Melissa was really kind and helpful with all of the questions I had. I highly recommend this place and ask for Melissa if you're looking for great service. Will be back! read more

Decent food, iffy service and a large beer list. We came here on a Sunday night to watch football, drink beer and eat some food. Our waitress came over and gave us a beer list. I took my pick and she came back to tell me they were out of it. I tried again. She came back, out of that too. So, I asked her what kind of pumpkin ales they currently have, since the first 2 were out. She said "I'm bad at beer, I have no idea" Okay then... I asked her to surprise me with whatever pumpkin ale she wanted to and she came back with something. When I asked what it was, again, she had no idea. Lost a couple of points on that one. However, she was pretty friendly and apologetic. Time to order food! I have the pretzels and beer cheese appetizer. Pretty yummy. I was craving a burger, so I ordered the Platinum Burger. Out of that, too. When I asked what they were out of, she couldn't tell me, even after asking the manager. Was it the onion? The bacon? The Havarti cheese? She came back and just said they're out of all of it, but can make me any other burger on the list. (Even those that included Havarti cheese and bacon. Didn't check on the onions) I ordered the crab cake sandwich, which is their "top seller". Not a bad crabcake, but it's a little rounded cake on a huge kaiser roll. I think I pulled off about 1/2 of the bread, just so all of my bites could be the roll AND the crabcake. No remoulade sauce, which was disappointing. They only offer tartar. Their "famous fries" are good! I always ask for them with light seasoning, otherwise they're a little overwhelming. All in all, not a bad experience. It's a decent place to watch the Eagles lose (Go Giants!) while enjoying a beer and some pretty standard bar food. I'm sure I'll be back. read more

Service was impeccable. I ate at the bar and was very impressed. They were spot on and got everything right.

Stayed in the hotel next door for the week so walked over for dinner each night. The first two nights service from the female bartenders were great. The next two nights service from the male bartenders was terrible. I got attitude from this big bartender the third night for no reason...took him 15 minutes to take care of something I asked a few times for. I decided to give it one more try tonight and the same guy would not even acknowledge me to the point that the guy sitting next to me made a comment. Finally just got food to go because I could not handle the attitude. If you want good service either take a chance that the men are not working the bar or bypass this place entirely read more

This is an amazing place! Great food, wonderful, friendly, attentive waitresses. I went there 3 nights in a row. The first night was because the hotel I stayed at recommended them, and it was just a short walk. Cool, I thought. Very convenient. What a great experience. The first night I had the broiled salmon and it was just OK. Not great, but good. It didn't matter because my waitress, Mason, was as sweet and friendly as could be. The second night I went back because I had such a good time the night before. I had the sampler platter and it was superb! Wings, chicken strips, mozzarella sticks and tater tots with their special toppings. This time I asked for Mason to wait on me, but her section was full. OK, no problem. About halfway through my meal, who shows up and slips into the booth opposite me but Mason! She saw me, remembered me, and came over to visit for a little while. What a sweet young lady! My waitress was Demi, who was equally friendly and very sweet and attentive. The third night, neither Mason nor Demi were working, so Sam waited on me. They must have some kind of special way of interviewing these young ladies so as to only pick the very nicest, friendly, (and pretty) ones that apply. A word of caution, though. I ordered the nachos, expecting to get enough for dinner. Yeah, right! - for at least THREE people! It was a small mountain of some of the best nachos I have ever had, but try as I might, I couldn't finish more than about half and I was stuffed! I wish I had taken a picture of it. HUGE! Their food is VERY good, the atmosphere, though a bit loud, was inviting and friendly, and I can't say enough good things about the waitresses. Excellent, excellent, excellent on all counts! I highly recommend giving them a try. You will NOT be disappointed, read more

The place has potential but unfortunately the food is a bit mediocre and the service was pretty slow. Just middle of the road for everything in the experience. Better service and a little better food and this skyrockets to a 4 or 5 star place as it has potential. read more

We had the best waitress. Her name was Chantelle and she was totally friendly and attentive. Food was good, drinks were good, but our waitress was awesome. read more

The food was OK and the service was OK. A lot of better options in the area.

I come in once in awhile and it never disappoints. I came last week and the service was wonderful. My server, I think her name was Percila, was on top of everything. I usually get appetizers but she recommended a new salad and it was delicious. The food and beer menu is great, it does get pretty loud in there but what can you expect from a sports bar. read more

The food was pretty good. Nothing special. The prices were a bit on the high side, but portions are descent.

Good food, lots of beers available, and plenty of tvs to watch the game. The place was clean and our server was friendly. We will be definitely be coming back. read more

The restaurant was very busy and super loud on the day we went, but the food and service was good. Love the wings!

Food is food, if you can get the bartenders to take your order. If you want to order food, don't sit at the bar. You will starve. Bar-tending staff spends more time flirting for tips from the regulars than taking order and filling empty pint glasses. read more

The food is nothing special in my opinion. Gets really loud inside, so maybe not a great place for a date. They have a wide variety of beers and some original cocktails that are usually pretty good. read more

When this location first opened, we happened to go in during their soft opening. staff were very nice, wings were excellent and beer was cold. Next time back had a burger and it was ok but the service was a bit lacking. Most recently it seems that the place has totally gone down the toilet. REALLY. Wings were soggy the last 2 times I ordered and nobody seems to have an explanation as to why . If you want beer and boobs, this place is fine but if you want to have food that's better than a wet sock, find another place. read more

The food is great, atmosphere is great, they hire very attractive servers, but the service is TERRIBLE!!! Need appetizer plates? A fork? Some napkins? Be prepared for a mile of attitude, eye rolling, and dirty looks. read more

Just like the other locations they have the worlds best wings. If you like it hot like me get the inferno but if you like it mild the hot n honey wings are great too. Also besure to try the cheesesteaks on the shipped in from Philly rolls. read more

The first time i went to PJ's their food was actually really good. As I continued to go there, the food just continued to get worse and worse. If you go in late at night and order wings and fries, expect to get fries that have been sitting out and wings that are barely even covered in sauce. On top of the bad food, the service is terrible. When you walk in, there's about 4 hostesses doing nothing but socializing. As for the servers, the girls are too worried about dressing like hoochies instead of actually providing good service. I will never go there again. read more

I love this sports bar, I'm not sure what everyone's complaints are about the food. It is not supposed to be some amazing establishment that will blow your mind with their food selections, although their beer selection is quite impressive! I love spending my fall Saturday's and Sunday's watching football and enjoying the atmosphere! BTW... Sometimes sports fans are loud :) read more

Go there often for lunch and HH as its just down the street from my work. I hope for a different result everytime I go but I'm always disappointed. The service is extremely slow EVERY time. read more

Went there for the first time this weekend. I had heard so many great things about this restaurant I just had to see if for myself. It definitely did not disappoint! A bartender came right over, introduced herself as Tracey and ask what I would like. I'm not much of a drinker so I asked her to suggest something- she came back with the most delicious martini I have ever had ! I ordered the ahi tuna to eat. When it came out I was pleasantly surprised with the presentation and it tasted even better. The atmosphere was welcoming and fun. I will defiantly be back! read more

Best place around to watch any kind of sporting event. Staff is friendly and fun (and all really attractive, it is true). More beers on tap than any place around and they carry some of the more selective liquers which is another plus. Wings are OUT OF THIS WORLD GOOD - get the Chioptle Lime Barbque and you will not be dissappointed! Other menu favorites are the eggplant fries and the chop salad.....the Blue Cheese dressing is so chunky and good I had to mention it. This is a regular place for Tuesday night wing nights!!! Love PJ'S!!! read more
