The best deep dish in Wisconsin and surrounding area! An original recipe from decades ago even through multiple changes in owners, they all preserved the authenticity of the pizza. Love coming back here especially now that we live in Colorado. read more

Pizzeria Uno - Small meat lover deep dish - Pizza Near Me - Platteville, Wisconsin

To me, the original is still the best. Everyone in Chicago has their opinion on what Chicago style pizza is the most delicious but I'm definitely an Uno guy. The crust is beyond belief and they use top shelf cheese, and tomato sauce, too. They invented it, and I think they perfected it, as well. read more

Food was great great service the place gets packed early and carry out is busy too They are nice to tell how long it will take to get your pizza sometimes it a long wait you can have a few drinks read more

The whole wheat crust pizza is a must try! It took me years to get the courage to try it... and that's years wasted of my life! Neat place to be at too. read more

Service was great. Pizza was awesome. Best deep dish I've had outside of Chicago. They were even able to accommodate our party of nine on short notice. read more

Always fabulous deep dish pizza! Green olives, sausage, canned mushrooms ala mode extra cheese with a traditional Long Island ice tea! Doesn't get better than this. Well worth the hour drive from Madison! read more

a little overpriced and overrated the breading on the pizza was probably the best staff can be more pleasant read more

I had the nachos and the taco meat (beef) was a bit salty and the chips were straight from a bag. This is a pizza place though, so I'm not knocking off too many stars for the nachos not being the best ever. The pizza had a nice beer crust to it, but the additional charge for a la mode was a bit under whelming with the amount of cheese added. It's in Wisconsin after all, I expected to not even see a hint of sauce. The 1919 root beer pitcher was fantastic and long islands were cheap and large. The pizza could have been slightly better but the service was outstanding and we will return. I wish they had more appetizers and tater tots on all days, not just as special. read more

Cool atmosphere. Hot savory pizza with a crust that melts in your mouth. The service meets you with a smile. The menu is large enough to make your choice difficult. Must get the famous Long Island Ice Tea...very flavorful! We will be back! read more

Best pizza in town! Best bar in town! If you're in town for a weekend, in town all the time or in town period. Come here! (Check out my pics to see what I ate) read more

Quite possibly the best deep dish pizza in all Wisconsin and even better than some of the deep dish I've had in Chicago. Beats Giordano's for sure and it's a close battle with Gino's East and Lou Malnatti's(I like Uno's crust better than Lou's). This is not the Pizzaria Uno's that's some kind of chain (that may even be out of business now), this is locally owned with tons of other great options and the best Long Island Iced Teas I've had anywhere. If you want a healthy option order their whole wheat crust (It's AMAZING) and if you like your cheese on top just remember to say "a la mode" please. If you're really hungry and can't wait for your pizza to arrive, order the Leo's Way Nachos and plan on having leftovers because if you eat it all you will never finish your pizza. read more

The deep dish meat lovers pizza on white crust is amazing. I get it every time I'm home!

Pizzeria Uno is my husband and my go-to date night. We've been getting take out for the last few months but are ALWAYS impressed with them. The food is great and you really get what you pay for. read more

Horrible food. Extreme lack of effort from a very rude waitstaff. Will not be returning.

I came here several times throughout my year in Platteville to get their deep dish pepperoni pizza. The atmosphere is very cozy and simply decorated with dark colors (I feel like I'm underground when I'm in their dining room). The pizza is very good. I've had the small and personal size deep dish pizza with pepperoni on top of the cheese. The personal size deep dish pizza is plenty enough of a portion size for me to eat. I originally tried the small size and had to take home a slice or two. My favorite part of the pizza is the sauce and cheese. All ingredients used taste fresh and home made. I make homemade pizzas from scratch and when I started out my pizzas used to taste like Pizzeria Uno's, so I know they are using fresh ingredients. The cheese tastes like real moist freshly shredded mozzarella and the sauce tastes like it is made from real tomatoes (whether the sauce is made from scratch from real tomatoes I can't say for sure, but it tastes like it is). The crust was good tasting and crispy. For me the sauce, cheese, and toppings really shine. By far the best pizza place I tried in Platteville. Their deep dish pizzas take a while to cook. I go in early for supper around 4:30pm and it is not very busy but the pizzas still take about 15 minutes to reach the table after I order. Not a problem for me, but something to keep in mind if you are in a hurry. I would not hesitate to bring friends or family to Pizzeria Uno! read more

Best pizza in town!! Definitely worth the price!! And, the Long Islands are the best ANYWHERE!!

Consumer Beware!!! The food is good, but be aware of the hidden costs. My husband ordered an Uno Burger ~ basically a hamburger but loose meat. He was charged $.90 for ketchup and $.90 for barbecue sauce. Who eats a burger without something else on it ~ ketchup, mustard, etc? read more

We are back again in Wisconsin and had to stop for a dinner at Pizzeria Uno. Pizzeria Uno is part of my wife's childhood and still holds up over the years. Our waitress was a delight. She was young, cheerful and attentive. The drinks were great and the food just what we desired. We are both fans of Pizzeria Uno. read more

It was Ok the staff was friendly but the food was mediocre at best. I was traveling and hungry so it worked out but I wouldn't make this a regular stop. read more

Was a disappointing and frustrating experience. Waited 40 minutes for our food, which was nothing out of the ordinary, and it was terrible. The "pan style" is misleading. Its deep dish and our crust was undercooked. Someone in our group got a burger and it was just crumbling ground beef. Half his burger fell apart on the plate. Someone got a BLT and it only had a giant pile of bacon bits on it instead of strips of bacon. Ketchup and mustard are not on the table and are delivered in giant glops in plastic sorbet dishes. The entire experience was confusing and the taste hardly made up for the strangeness. Pass on this restaurant. read more

I am from Long Island, NY so the criteria by which I judge pizza may be higher than others, but this was some of the worst dining I have ever experienced, pizza or otherwise. First, the wall above where we were seated had decor that was covered in cobwebs. This is not appealing when you are eating somewhere. Second, I ordered a beverage in a mug and the handle of the mug was sticky and covered in pink red splotches which I imagine were grenadine. The waitress did not come back after taking our order to give us a status update even though it took 40 minutes to make our pizza so basically I had a dirty cup for nearly that whole time. Let's also talk about our order - we ordered 1 pizza and some garlic bread. When she (the waitress) was nearby enough to grab her after 35m of waiting, we asked where our garlic bread was. She checked and came back and told us that she and the kitchen forgot about it, and that she wouldn't charge us for it but our pizza was almost ready. Now - the pizza. If the pizza were awesome, I could overlook a few other things. What I will say was that there were plenty of toppings and the cheese and the toppings were fresh. That's all I can say about the pizza that is positive. The crust was awful - it was raw and floury where the sauce and dough met, and it broke off in chunks like dry clay. I don't know if it was frozen dough before it was baked, or what, but it was NOT proofed (risen) properly. Pizza dough/crust should be elastic-y and yeasty. This tasted like uncooked flour. And the sauce - the sauce was nothing but canned whole tomatoes. No extra flavors. Not cooked down or puréed. Pizza sauce has specific flavors, and texture. This missed all the marks. I literally picked up a whole tomato from under the cheese with my fork and showed it to my husband. Also, I asked for less cheese on my half of the pizza (which was written down on the order) and it had the same amount of cheese as the other half. Finally, when I went in to this establishment I thought I was going to Uno's, formerly known as Pizzeria Uno's. I did not know that the chain had changed names and this place is completely unrelated to the chain. I feel that this is quite misleading to anyone familiar with the chain, which did have decent pizza for a chain restaurant. read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!!! Had me waiting on the phone for 40 MINUTES just to tell me they could not take my order. Waste of my time I hope this place gets shut down!!!! STAY AWAY!!!!! read more

If you enjoy 2 inch thick crust completely soaked through with grease, then this is the place to go. If you want actual pizza, whether it be Chicago Style or New York style, Little Caesars is even a better option. Over priced garbage. read more

Hands down some of the best pizza I have had in an extremely long time. The flavor combinations of the sauce and the salty meats make your mouth water. Our waitress was absolutely wonderful and attentive. The wait time was a little longer than you might think of wanting for pizza but well worth it. read more

Jenna P is an idiot who clearly knows nothing about Chicago Style deep dish pizza. I frequent most of the top deep dish joints in Chicago and this rates right up there with them. Actually the closest to Lou Malnati's that I have seen outside of Chicago. read more

The pizza was better than some of the other restaurants in town, I will give them that. When I visited, there was a distinct smell of natural gas coming from the kitchen. This made the entire experience less enjoyable, while at the same time made their drinks feel much stronger. The girls working their provide good scenery to look at, but are basically useless beyond that. Go to Pizzeria Uno with low expectations and you will get a decent pizza, but not much more. read more
