Service was a bit slow but very friendly. The calamari dish could have been larger (too many fries and too few calamari) and a sauce would have been nice. The pizza was great, pasta for the kids was great, gnocchi were ok. Prices were also adequate. On a busy night I'm sure it would be a blast there!

We didn't order anything exciting, so my review should be taken with a grain of salt. I had the salad with balsamic and my daughter had plain pasta. She loved her pasta but she loves ALL pasta. The salad was good, fresh and crisp. It had lettuce, cabbage, carrot relish, cucumbers and tomatoes. The bread was ok, nothing special. Overall though, we were just glad to have a meal after the drive and relax.

Upon the trek up the stairs a young lady greeted us and sat us right ways, and offered the outdoor balcony if we wanted to wait a bit. We opted to sit and order. A gentleman came and took our orders and we opted for pizza. A strange choice in the lands of wurst and schnitzel but we were trying to see how that other thing is done here. It wasn't bad. It was more about the ambiance of excellent seats with a great view. Good enough if you're in a hurry passing through. Service was quick by European standards!

The food was good and I ordered a plate of Bruschetta and when it arrived I was astonished that I couldn't even see the plate with all the ripe tomato's on top. The oregano is from Calabria hand picked when they go back to visit each August I assume. I also had a plate of pasta with meat sauce that was good but as normal in the north, a bit thin yet still very tasty. The restaurant was full with what seemed like locals who also seemed to really like the place. Outside is a small river or really large stream that is fun to watch. I say Give it a try since it really is the only nice Italian restaurant in the town. For the record I saw what looked like a pizza place nearby but it didn't look like it was open or in business.

The service was something special. One of the kids spilled his coke all over himself and the floor, and the staff were kind and helpful. My wife went to our car to get spare clothes, and they offered to take the pizza back to the oven so it stays hot. When she came back they took her tomato soup to heat on their own initiative.
