The staff was friendly and good-humored, as well as efficient. And the food was excellent. Although it was an Italian restaurant, I opted for Jaegarschnitzel, which was delicious. The atmosphere was comfortable and unpretentious---just what one expect for a small village in the Black Forest. I would come back here again!

The menu was diverse with many options for housmade pasta, pizza, meat and fish. I had the homemade squid ink tagliatelle with seafood. The dish was well-seasoned with ripe tomatoes and a good variety of shellfish. The fresh pasta was cooked perfectly al dente. The portion was perfect - hearty but still a light summer meal. My friend ordered the pasta primavera which was also delicious with loads of fresh shaved cheese and prosciutto. The drinks were nice - I had an aperol spritz that was well mixed and nice orange rind garnish. The wine menu was fairly extensive with many options by the glass. It is nothing like a salami mushroom pizza from the normal Italian restaurants in Germany. Very thick crust, weird salami and weird mushrooms, the flavor was not good. The meat from spargel was tasteless. I'm surprised with the previous reviews here. I would have to say this is a no go.
