The inside had a very authentic Italian pizza place feel to it. Our server was super friendly and helped explain the best drink pairings with the pizzas, as well as their most popular dishes. We started off with the garlic bread which was delicious. Then for our pizzas we had the margarita and the mugnanese. The crust on the pizzas was cooked to perfection. Crispy on the outside and doughy and flavorful in the inside. You could tell all of the ingredients were fresh with each bite. They have a red pepper oil that comes on the side with their pizzas which was amazing. I would highly recommend stopping in here if you are looking for some great pizza in downtown Barcelona.

They had menus in Italian, Catalan, Spanish, and English and there were lots of vegetarian options. Cloth napkins, too. All in all, quite yummy.

The service was great, friendly, and the food was fantastic. We are in Barcelona for a week and have already made plans to come back. My wife had tropicale pizza (Hawaiian for North Americans) which was delicious. Large, tasty cuts of ham and delicious chunks of pineapple. I had the Carbonara pasta with tagliatelle noodles. It was incredible. A simple dish that was packed with flavour. I can't wait to try more stuff there. Oh, the best part, it came with a free glass of wine each, and free desert or coffee. All for 20€. Highly recommend it for those of you who like to venture off the boring tourist routes.

We were hungry & stopped by at two aforementioned popular restaurants where the queue was too long. By this point while walking to La Capricciosa, I was praying there would not be a queue otherwise starvation would have pursued. And thankfully there was not a wait! We quickly ordered the Pizza Barcelona and Lasagna. The pizza was delicious, it was thin and crunchy with the cheese perfectly melted, how a pizza should be. I personally love arugula on pizza, topping it off with excellent Spanish jamon makes it that much better. The lasagna was homemade and delish, but a tad salty. During lunch, the meal comes with a free drink and dessert when you order two or more items.

Wow. Just wow…read more We've been in Barcelona for almost two years now. We've found a couple of places with good pizza, but they are both across town from where we live. Now we've found a GREAT, authentic pizza, and it's on our side of town! It turns out this place has earned its chops. The proprietors are "pizzaioli napolitanos." They understand the beauty and simplicity of a properly made pizza. They understand the dough, from its recipe to its execution. They understand that you don't need to offer hundreds of varieties of pizza, when a dozen or so, well-made, will satisfy. Their menu features Neapolitan pizzas, calzones, lasagna and salads. We opted for the Quattro Stagioni (four seasons) pizza, featuring a spicy salami, sweet ham, artichoke hearts and mushrooms with mozzarella, basil and a tomato sauce worthy of its Neapolitan heritage. The thin crust had the perfect amount of burn marks, courtesy of their wood-fired oven. Our Caprese Salad of tomato slices interspersed with mozzarella, fresh basil leaves and a drizzle of balsamic vinegar and olive oil was spot-on. My wife loved the light Italian wine they recommended to her to accompany the pizza. Yum! Our server, Andrea, a young man also from Naples, KNOWS his stuff and was a delight to talk to. We were pressed for time (our movie was starting soon, a ten-minute walk from the restaurant), so we skipped dessert. Next time we'll plan accordingly, and ensure we have ample time to enjoy both the food AND the ambiance. The staff is warm and engaging - we really do look forward to our next visit!
