Sorry pizzeria da Antonio, this would have to be the worst italian we've ever had.
We are lovers of gnocchi, so we ordered thus dish prepared in a rich tomato sauce.
Unfortunately the gnocchi was soggy and over cooked, the tomato sauce tasted like 10 year old canned sauce made on the cheap, we took about 3 bites and could not eat any more.
The pizza was not too bad......definitely not traditional italian style......way too chunky for the base and the toppings.
The other couple at the restaurant were also unimpressed.
Very expensive for a meal you can't eat!
We arrived at 2pm and by 230pm, the waitress chained us in to the outdoor area and told us how to get out, and could we hurry up and pay, while we were eating so they could shut shop! Never had this experience, ever!
My advice is to walk down the Main Street past the train station, there is a lovely little Turkish style pizza and kebab place. For a quarter of the price you find friendly service, delicious pizza made with love, massive salads etc with ice cold beer and soft drinks. read more
