Since my friend lives nearby and is often there, we decided to go together and I wanted to try it out. We had the chance to sit outside, the weather was nice. I ordered a tomato soup as a starter, which was too creamy for me, but it was good. As a main dish I had white asparagus with potatoes and salmon steak. I really loved the asparagus and I can say that they were fresh. The salmon was a bit dry and too small, but just because I was too hungry I expected more;) i ordered another portion of asparagus which was really good! The atmosphere was great, the wine was great, the prices are really affordable for the quality they serve and the service was good. In the end we got 2 glasses of Grappa for free and I could pay by card, which is also important! If you search for a nice and good restaurant, not located in the city center, then Chianti is a good place to go! read more

Highly recommended for people who are looking for a good, reasonably priced Italian meal. If you are looking for an extraordinary culinary experience - well, then try another city than Koblenz ;-) Why not five stars then? In my rating scheme, 5 stars require that I would be prepared to make a detour of 30+ mins just to dine there. As much as I love it, this would be a tad too much to ask for.

So far I've found Italian cuisine in Germany to be disappointing. The pasta is generally…read moreunaccompanied, over cooked, and most menus look the same. I had a hunch just walking in that Ristorante Milano would be different. This place fits more into a traditional Italian vibe, starting with the decor. There are simple white napkins and tablecloth, small flowers and oil and vinegar for the tables. The decor is mostly produce and there is a wall of family photos near the kitchen. The menu echoed this with a few specials, and many traditional dishes. And the meat had appropriate accompaniment including pasta depending on the dish! I ordered the Saltibocca alla Romana. I'm not discerning enough to say it was veal, but regardless it was a tender tasty beef. There was. generous cap of lightly fried prosciutto, and the gravy was tasty. The fresh pasta was also what I was looking for. The server spoke English, and was polite and efficient. One of the kitchen staff checked to see that we enjoyed the food. The menu was in german, but if you know your Italian fare you should be able to navigate it, and the server was able to answer our questions.
