I had the mushroom and prosciutto pizza. It was very good and better than what I had in Venice. The service was super friendly and the atmosphere was modern and clean. Additionally, I walked there from my hotel (which is located in a business/industrial park only a quarter mile away). It was dusk when I walked there; but fully dark when I was done eating. The street lights along the path back to the hotel don't work, and the area is desolate at night. A creepy guy in a van followed me and started catcalling me; so I ran back to the restaurant and tried to get an Uber since I was by myself. There were no Uber's in the area so I asked the owners of the restaurant to call me a cab. The male owner did not speak English, but his wife did. They insisted on driving me back to my hotel! They felt sorry for me and were so nice. I am very grateful for their hospitality....they went way beyond the call of duty!

Great location in the square, I recommend sitting on the patio for people watching and enjoying the beautiful weather. I had the 4 cheese penne pasta and it was delicious - loaded with cheese and flavor - I was pleasantly surprised. My friend had the bolognese and it was also incredibly tasty. I would definitely come back!

We had read a review on a different site which suggested stopping here, and we are glad we did! The four of us ordered four wonderful dishes. The squid ink pasta was delicious, and the best I have ever had (even compared to other Venetian restaurants). The pizza was really tasty, and the gnocchi was equally amazing. The wine here is inexpensive, and very good. We ordered the house reserve, which was a steal. After finishing the bottle, we all wanted another bottle to take back home with us. The location is a little hard to find. It is right in Campo Santo Stefano, around the corner from the Accademia Bridge, and not too far from the Rialto. I uploaded a picture of the view, which over looks Campo Santo Stefano and a beautiful Venetian church.

That's a pretty awesome realization, but we also didn't have reservation and didn't know where to go. Again, a nice problem to have. Since my partner is not a huge fan of seafood, we found Bitta as a top option. We called and were lucky enough to find a reservation later in the evening. Upon arrival, the woman was on the phone with someone making a reservation in April! Which was a pretty assuring sign that it's going to be a good night :) We were seated promptly and given menus. There were so many good options, but we decided to go with the beef tarare, ragu Bolognese and the duck. And a bottle of wine for good luck! Overall, the food was incredible. After a long day of travel, we inevitably are every bite/too much, but NO regrets. The ambiance is super cozy and homey, the service is warm and the food is excellent!
