The waiter was super attentive and efficient the entire evening. We went for dinner, so the restaurant was definitely dimly lit, which I think is the atmosphere they're going for. It was a little dark for our taste at first, but we were able to open the blinds. If you enjoy cozy, dim dinner ambiance, this is definitely your kind of place. The menu uses Italian names for many of the dishes, so I wasn't immediately sure what everything was, but once we figured it out, everything we ordered was delicious. The angel hair pasta was simple but absolutely perfect. We also had cheesecake for dessert, and it was fantastic. I also appreciated that they had a kid's menu, plus mini pizza options for kids. My five-year-old only made it through a couple slices because the portions were generous. Definitely come hungry, and don't be surprised if you leave with a doggy bag because the portions are big. Highly recommend!

They ordered two pies, one pepperoni and another called the Andiamo Special. The Andiamo Special is salami, sausage, pepperoni, meatball, mushroom, olives, bell peppers, and onions. It seems like almost too many topping, but the flavor is one point. After my first bite, I needed to double check the box to make sure it was truly from Andiamo's. My past food experiences have not been the best. The flavor combo on this pizza, great. The dough, not so great. The dough was a little undercooked near the center of the pie, but the crust was actually very good. Salty and chewy, just how it should be. No delivery offered here, but if you're looking for a new local pizza spot to try, Andiamo's is worth the money.

Lastly, these business owners also looked up my phone number in their system after I posted this and tried calling me after 8:30p multiple times over over at home which is a direct violation of privacy. Many better pizza places to give your business to. - Not living up to the hype at all. We ordered a BYO pizza which was decent, actually the best part of the order. The rest fell flat. Cesar salad was absolute garbage. I got the larger salad which was around $15 and I was given a sad salad of old romaine that was mostly the white stem. Which, may I add was going bad and not white it was getting that weird orange-pink looking color. We had the truffle knots which tasted hard and stale. It is reminiscent of when you try to microwave certain bread products and the item because chewy and hard. There was minimal butter/oil to coat them and lightly sprinkled with Parmesan. Total fail. With tip it was around $66 for food that wasn't enjoyable. With tons of other options in the pizza category, this one is not on the list. This would also be considered bad service in my opinion because whoever was in charge of the salad gave poor service. I will add a picture to validate my experience.

The first time I…read morevisited, I was lucky enough to try the lasagna, which was rich, comforting, and clearly made with care. On my second visit, I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs--and it did not disappoint. The spaghetti was perfectly cooked, with a hearty, house-made sauce that tasted deeply authentic. The sauce had a beautiful balance of savory tomato flavor, herbs, and just the right amount of richness, as if it had been simmering all day. The meatballs were tender, well-seasoned, and full of flavor, not dry or overly dense, but exactly what you hope for in classic Italian comfort food. Every bite felt homemade and satisfying, the kind of meal that reminds you of a family kitchen rather than a restaurant. Valentino's proves that size isn't everything; the small space is remarkably warm and inviting. The relaxed, cozy atmosphere perfectly mirrors the menu, allowing for a meal that feels unhurried. With its genuine family-run charm, the restaurant feels wonderfully authentic and approachable. Beyond the food, the experience at Valentino's is what truly sets it apart. It's a father-and-daughter business, and their pride shows in everything they do. They are incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, making you feel more like a guest in their home than just a customer. If you're looking for authentic Italian food made with heart and tradition in Fresno, Valentino's is a must-try. I'll absolutely be back again.

EXCELLENT FOOD & FRIENDLY STAFF!!…read more As a 100% 66 year old Sicilian, I am usually very picky when it comes to Italian food, so when I say Ovidio's is the "real deal" in Italian dining, it carries some weight. We had a party of three and started with the Spicy Mussels and the Steamed Clams and both were excellent. We ordered the Veal Parmigiana, Eggplant Parmigiana and the combination Pasta platter of Lasagna, spaghetti & beef ravioli, served with meatballs or sausage. Everything was great! We finished with the Tiramisu which was also great! VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED - 5 STARS!!

The meatballs are also really good: tender, well-seasoned, and definitely a highlight if you enjoy classic Italian comfort dishes. Their pizza is another strong point, with a great crust and generous toppings that make it really satisfying. It is a bit pricey, but the quality of the food usually makes it worth it. My only real complaint is that the restaurant tends to be very busy, especially during peak hours, so you might have to wait a while to be seated. Still, the staff is friendly and the atmosphere is warm and lively, which helps make the experience enjoyable. Overall, Ovidio's offers consistently delicious food, especially the meatballs and that fantastic pink sauce, making it a great choice if you're craving Italian and don't mind the crowds or slightly higher prices.

This is our 3rd visit to Dicicco's on Shaw Ave Van Ness Avenues…read more Dicicco's is a family owned restaurant. It has a long and wonderful history here in the Fresno area. Each restaurant is owned by a family member of the original Dicicco's which was located on Belmont Ave. I have great memories of the little brick building. It's where I had my first Dicicco's pizza about 50 years ago! Every visit here has been a delicious experience. Each of our servers has not only provided excellent service but they've made our dining experience a fun one. Elena was our server this evening and she was so much fun! Oh, I almost forgot to tell you about the food! Haha well ... Tonight, my hubby had The Don. The Don is epic! It features Fettuccine Alfredo And Lasagna as part of a 3 main dish combo with your choice of one of their delicious chicken dishes. You have a choice of all the classics: Chicken Parmesan, Chicken Marsala, Chicken Panna, and even Chicken Cacciatore. Can you believe that?! Well, he chose the tried and true Chicken Parm. I was surprised because this has never been his favorite dish but is mine. His dinner was absolutely delicious! But how would I know? He loved it so much that he shared a good bite of each with me. The chicken was tender and cooked to perfection. The marinara was light and well... perfect. The Lasagna? You have to come try it. Just like Nonna's. Well, not My nonna because I'm not Italian, but you know what I mean! I decided to try something different and ordered the Old Blue Eyes. This dish features penne pasta with green onions, fresh spinach, and perfectly cooked chicken breast pieces gently tossed in a delicious pink sauce. Let's have some saucy conversation here. This Pink Sauce is no ordinary Pink Sauce. It has a depth of flavor that is so good and complex that well, you're just going to have to come and experience it for yourself! It's much more than just a marinara with a touch of Alfredo. This is a unique sauce that stands on its own! You really owe it to yourself to discover a Fresno gem that offers the taste and feel of a delicious family dinner in a bright and cheerful setting. We invite you to come and experience this Dicicco's! Their menu offers a variety of dishes not available at the others. Do you have vegetarian or vegan friends or family? We do and were they ever surprised to have more than one choice. Don't forget... You can add a soup or salad for a modest charge. Along with the salad they offer a choice of homemade Minestrone or Cream of Zucchini. Either are good choices but... If you're a Clam Chowder lover come in on a Friday when you can find it made fresh. Friday is also the only day that they do not serve Cream of Zucchini. If you have the chance to order the Cream of Zucchini do it! My husband is Very picky and if he liked it you're sure to love it! I absolutely enjoyed every delicious spoonful! It was light yet warm and comforting. A soup that is perfect for a chilly night like tonight. It's so good that it's worth going out to dinner just to have a bowl of it with some of their fresh, hot buttered bread. Yum!! (PS:#1 Elena deserves a raise. She was so much fun. If I had a restaurant I'd try to steal her! #2- Do not ever let go of the person who made that Cream of Zucchini soup because it's worthy of the Soup Nazi! If you're old enough, you'll know what I mean!) (Sorry, but I forgot to take pictures)
