Half baked, worse than a typical low end American franchise pizza. Plus costs about the same.

A four star review with trepidation. Perhaps a three 1/2 star better. And only for one reason…read more Massimo's waters down there drinks, big time. Then they smile about it. My Spanish is conversational don't smile, just agree. Now for the rest of the review, Massimo's has an eclectic menu, and an exciting specials menu. The bread sticks they give you, well there adequate. But, this area is a humid as a witches broom. Soooooooo........... I ordered from the special of grilled Pulpo or filled octopus. It was outstanding, if Massimo's didn't give me a vodka and WATER, when I ordered just vodka chilled, I'd be raving about this place. Alas, I'm angry at getting ripped of. The food is outstanding, the service is good, the bartender should be lynched.

Another stop on our Puerto Aventuras eating "tour" of sorts. We had last been here years ago under…read moredifferent management circumstances. Now more "dressed up", the service attentive and let's just say a big improvement in atmosphere and otherwise. A substantial menu with homemade pasta the focal point. We opted to start with bruschetta which was among the best we have had. The crostini were just right, not burnt to crispy hardness. Sandra had a filet which was tender--in itself a major accomplishment in these parts. She liked the funghi (mushroom) sauce. I can't comment because sauce on steak just isn't my favorite anywhere. I had the octopus which was chargrilled, which I enjoyed. The surprise was the wine list: few options basically one of each type. That said, the Italian Chianti was outstanding and that made all the difference when the selection is limited. We could not have eaten dessert however they provided us a tiramisu for home which when we had it was amazing. Service was excellent and once again a dinner that exceeded our expectations. Never did try the homemade pastas which looked delightful so that is our excuse to go back once again. But the wine choice is already done.

This place was busy every night we passed by so we finally gave it a try. Service from Alfredo was…read moretop notch. Food was great. Our group of 6 enjoyed a mixture of pizzas and pasta. I will say the margarita pizza was a little underwhelming and not what we are used to. It was basically a cheese pizza with a few basil leaves on it. The pasta tho was great and I would recommend and return.

Lovely little restaurant on the waterfront. We started off with the spinach dip...everyone loved this. I tried it, but to be fair, I am not a fan of spinach dip. It wasn't bad, because the dish was clean, but I am not a fan of it. Based on the reception, I am going to say it was a winner, if you like that sort of appetizer. The Queen and I got the Antipasto Italiano (italian meats and cheeses). The selection of meat and cheeses were nice, but the overall size was a little small in my opinion. For entrees, me and The Doctor got the Spaghetti Bolognese and The Queen got the Spaghetti Arrabbiata. The bolognese was very good. The sauce was loaded with meat. For the Arrabbiata, I would say that the presentation looked great, but this is not a dish I would eat because it is spicy hot. The Queen likes hot and super hot, so this was eaten with relish by her. Because she likes hot stuff, the owner brought out extra red pepper as well as an oil that contained spices and whatever was used to make the Arrabbiata, only it was hotter. The Queen used the oil and was ok with it. My friend got a steak with grilled veggies and mashed potatoes. He is not big on potatoes, so he asked if he could have some of my pasta and he would give me the potatoes. I looooooooove potatoes and these were so good. They were whipped very well and loaded with butter and herbs. They were a great side to my pasta :-) We did not do dessert as we were stuffed. They also do pizzas, so will have to try that out next visit down. All in all, this was a great Italian meal in Mexico.

The Market has everything under the sun with flavors that will challenge your taste buds. From veggie only options to seafood, chicken, beef and pork. To soups, salads and mouth watering desserts! The staff here will make sure that your cup/glass is always full. If you prefer wine with your fish they bring the bottle tableside and pour to your satisfaction. Many of their wines are from Spain and other European countries. At the meals end a nice piece of cake warshed down with some of the best coffee I have ever had in any restaurant back in the USA. If your in a hurry and have things lined up like tours or music events for the day. Going to a buffet style restaurant is your best bet. The breakfast here is amazing.

For a buffet, the Market does a great job! There is always such a wide variety of food available for every meal! For breakfast there were the usual suspects....freshly made waffle & pancake station, omelette station, plus tons of American and Mexican entrees. There was a pizza oven where they warmed tacos for a taco bar at breakfast and made pizzas at lunch. There were always fresh fruit and green juices and horchata water. At dinner there are different theme nights (Italian, Steak, etc.) We walked by when they had the seafood buffet and it looked excellent with lobster, crab, and many varieties of fish. The staff served beverages and was always very helpful. Sometimes the a la carte restaurants at the Hard Rock were disappointing but you could never go wrong at the Market.
