Pizza Therapy burst onto the tired old pizza scene about two years ago. Pizza that's good for you! Surely not?! Fresh ingredients and a homemade feel. Surely not! Well, maybe not...I really wanted to like the pizzas. In fact I've ordered from here on a few occasions but I've slowly been put off and I think it's an issue of expectation more than anything. What springs to mind most clearly about Pizza Therapy pizzas for me is the chicken. It's too chickeny. I know this will sound super pernickety, so please allow me to explain. The chicken they use is roasted thigh. Delicious you say. Well yes, certainly but on a pizza it's a bit dry and a bit too intense in flavour. It dominates the other ingredients and the only lasting impression I am left with, is not the base, or the sauce, or the fact that it's made from premium ingredients...it's that it was too chickeny.
However, once persons pernickety palate is another persons perfectly palatable. Don't be put off by me. Try for yourself. I love what they're trying to do.
