Maybe I came by on an off day for Mastro Titta? (It was a rainy day after all) But I really wanted…read moreto like this pizzeria since the restaurant counter had piles and piles of ready to eat pizzas, arancinis, and other various carbalicious items on display that all looked really tasty. The restaurant also had a modern look to it and the exterior seating looked totes fab. It would have been sweet to enjoy the Italian vibes while shoving my face in some authentic pizza. Unfortunately, when I came by, the servers were not the friendliest of hoomans and they kinda shrugged me off as an annoying tourist when I started asking questions in English!
I ended up just ordering an arancini for the road that they heated up... and it wasn't very good. It was very dry and didn't have nearly enough sauce. I feel like they didn't heat it all the way through, or the Mediterranean climate was just so cold that the arancini immediately cooled down. My mom just absolutely hated it, she took one bite and was just like, "throw it away NOW! It's grody!" But because I'm a penny-pinching cheapo, I couldn't waste a perfectly bland snack, so I ate every last bite of that sad, cold, fried lump of rice and tomato paste.
Perhaps I should have purchased a pizza slice, or even their Nutella calzone thingamajig, but I would definitely stay away from their arancinis, especially when it's raining.
