Half pep half plain well done thin crust pie

Solid pie. Delivery was quick. Online ordering was super convenient and easy. Would definitely order again

    Italian - huge.

Pizza: 3 stars Italian hoagie: 5+ stars I ordered via their online process a few days prior to Christmas while visiting local family. I used to live in the area and like to branch out from my usual favorites every now and again. My order was up pretty quickly - I drove right over after ordering and it was available (so about 15 minutes tops). I wasn't subjected to the "weird vibe" others have referenced here, but I was also in and out of the shop in maybe two minutes. My slice of pizza was large, thin, and cheesy. It was a bit too crunchy and way too greasy. It was the definition of an a-okay slice. But the Italian hoagie? That thing was gold. Truly delicious, huge, on a seeded, top-tier roll. My Italian grandmother saw me eating it, hovered/gaped, and immediately cut herself off a piece. She, too, approved, which is saying something. So would I return for pizza? Eh, doubtful. My eyes would be set on the hoagie prize.

Food is great and staff is all friendly. Cheesesteak is one of my favorites in the area. Calzone was also perfect.

I agree with the other reviewer it's a weird vibe and the food is subpar. We've given it several try's . Not a fan.

This time we visited for my birthday- on a Tuesday evening, they are running a two for $60 special. You get a starter, main, and dessert. The options are plentiful for such a complete meal, and I always enjoy my company (the Mr.). I had a spinach strawberry blue cheese candied walnut salad as my starter. I ordered the chicken parm: two thinly (read: perfectly portioned) sliced chicken breasts, coated with bread crumbs and fried, smothered in the same garlicky tomato sauce folded into the most perfectly al-dente pasta noodles. The mozzarella cheese was thoroughly melted and fused into the top layer of the chicken breasts. For dessert, I ordered the lemon mascarpone cake: three layers of the fluffiest, most lemony cake I have ever had. The mascarpone cream was not sugary- again, flavorful and lemony. I always enjoy my meal when I visit and I particularly adore their tomato pie. I have a little trick to being able to score some additional pieces to the two place on your table with warm crusty bread and butter; I have no intentions of sharing my secret! I know the term 'hidden gem' is played out, but this is really one of those places where if you don't know, you will never know. If you decide to try it, it's worth the drive. I have always enjoyed my time, food, and service the numerous times I have visited.

The place is pure glitz and while that's not my preferred habitat, the crab cakes are outstanding and the vibe is surprisingly unrushed. It's certainly a hike to Penns Grove but next time we're in the area, Di Paolo's is on our list for an old school rendezvous. Five easy stars.

The chicken picatta was so, so good- just the right amount of lemony goodness. The Marsala was my husband's favorite- he's said it's some of the best he's had. The decor and staff are everything you want in a family-owned Italian restaurant. There was Sinatra music playing and My Cousin Vinny on the TV - it was great. There is indoor and outdoor seating. It is a small restaurant with limited seating. If you are pressed, make a reservation. Don't go here, if you want quick, impersonal service. Street parking, just a heads up.

I tried the meatball appetizer - it was decent but not really anything special. For dinner I had the chicken parm in a blush sauce which came with a side of gnocchi and my dining partner had grandmas Sunday gravy, again both decent. We skipped dessert because it was a decent amount of food. The other thing I'll mention is you're going to want to make reservations if you go. The entire restaurant seats what seems like 30 people.

I have recommended them to people who work in the area, travel through the area, and move into the area. I started ordering less frequently when, like every restaurant, the price got a lot higher. The food was still consistent and the portions were large. Then the consistency dropped off. Pizzas were sometimes over cooked, Cheesesteaks sometimes lighter on the meat, cheese, and onions. Still they remained my go to place. Today that came to an end. I know know my deal breaker will not be everyones deal breaker but for me it was da' nail in da' coffin. They now only serve seeded rolls I don't enjoy a seeded roll, maybe I'm a minority as far as the seeded roll thing goes but it is what it is. I spent a ton of money here and definitely gained some pounds. No hard feelings old friend. Its time I explore the many other Pizza joints in the 08085 zip code. If in the future if the non-seeded rolls come back maybe we will rebuild our relationship.
