Hey, My name is Carlos Castillo, today I went there, the one located in Belisario Dominguez in Colonia Reforma. I went with a good friend of mine to enjoy a slice of pizza or maybe a whole pie. We noticed that outside read a sign that said "Pizza buffet". We were both intrigued and decided to try it. We went inside and they gave us a very nice seating arrangement. We looked around and we were the only people of color, which really doesn't affect us because we believed we had nothing to worry about. Shortly after we arrived the table next to us was occupied my four american tourists. They spoke some spanish. As we ordered the buffet(that was $145 pesos) and jar of orange juice ($130.00) the waiter let us know that the buffet consisted of salad, an entree of either soup or spaghetti and last but not least pizza. Everything was going well UNTIL we noticed that they took a little too long to serve us our pizza. I had to ask them to remove my spaghetti and the waited looked annoyed because I didn't finish my spaghetti. I shrugged it off. We noticed the table of americans ordered the same exact thing we did except drank water. As we waited for our pizza the waiter brought us a hawaiian pie. I thought it was weird because it had said buffet. We asked the waiter about it and he said that we had to finish that pie before they could give us a different one. Also we did not choose the pizza, they brought to us what they had. The table beside us was a whole different story, the americans were choosing from a variety of pizzas that the waiters were bringing them. I felt uneasy, my friend did as well. I was mad enough to where I asked for the manager, we had already finished our second pie of jalapeñ(which is low quality pizza) by that time. They took me to him and I explained the situation. He apologized for the tardiness and also apologized for not bringing the condiments(ketchup, english sauce, etc. ;My friend had had to actually ask for it ). The manager brought the waiter over and the waited explained that the other table had ordered a variety of pizzas. I was sure that I had heard them say that they had ordered buffet as well. The manager gave us a free dessert for our troubles. I went back to my seat. When they brought our desserts, I did not bother eating it, I was too angry, too upset with the situation. They brought a mexican dessert called flan, which is typical mexican dessert. The americans next to us told my friend and I that they wanted the same thing. I took the opportunity to ask them what they had ordered for dinner. You guessed it, they had ordered buffet. We were being treated unfairly. I asked for the manager a second time. The waiter said he could not come but I insisted. He probably feared I would make a scene. I did not make one. I asked a simple question Why are you treating us different. He stared at me nervously and blamed the waiters. He said he did not know why we're being treated that way. I asked why the americans were being treated decently and he actually blamed me. He said and I quote "If you noticed that you were being treated that way you should have said something and we would have treated you differently" Can you believe that? So I have to ask to be treated equally? I never once raised my voice or treated him badly but I am upset. I was treated differently than others because of the color of my skin.I was raised correctly, I paid my bill and left. That makes sad and angry. I was raised correctly, I paid my bill and left. I am never going back there. read more
