I was looking for take away pizza for a small party of friends at my house, and was recommended Ricetta by a local in the area. We ordered the following 4 large pizzas: Thai Chicken, Don Giovanni, Fellini and Chorizo. On ordering, we were told to pick up the pizzas after 15 minutes (we waited a few minutes over, but the people at Ricetta were a pretty efficient bunch, it seemed).
All of the pizzas had a pleasantly thin (although not crisp) crust, and plenty of toppings. The most popular pizza was Fellini (parma ham, rocket and pine nuts - allways a hit), closely followed by Chorizo (chorizo, chevre and red onion), which was an unusual but very tasty combo. To me, the Don Giovanni pizza (artichocke, sun-dried tomato, beef, capers and red onion) was ok, but not great, but one of my friends proclaimed it to be the best of the bunch. The thai chicken pizza was a bit of a let-down, as there was no distinct "thai" taste (compared to f.ex. the thai chicken pizza at Peppes, which I quite like), and it was a bit dry.
Note that the pizzas at Ricetta are extremely salty (even to me, and I am often accused of over-salting my food). read more
