Oh! My! Chicken! I'd come here just for PR's juicy fried chicken! Service, for a buffet, is excellent! What service, you ask? Tables constantly being bussed, buffet items being refreshed with smaller amounts being brought out to keep everything fresh, and workers (including the manager) checking frequently to see if all is well with you! All in all, Pizza Ranch does an excellent job of providing tasty food and a clean place for one to enjoy a pleasant meal! Caveat: I've only had PR's buffet meals. I went to the noon lunch on Wednesday the 12th, I sat with a few friends. We all went to the buffet and I grabbed 1 piece of chicken, 1 slice of pizza and a bread stick. I sat and began eating, then I noticed that my chicken looked odd. I tore it open to see that it was completely raw. My friend went to speak to the workers and all they could say was "ok." Prices are high for small amounts of food. Staff aren't the friendliest people, it also took a while to get the food. But it's very quiet because no one is ever there which is nice for talking and listening to conversation. read more

I paid for a buffet, that I couldn't even eat! Very disappointing! We arrived around 5 pm after spending the day at hospice. Just a handful of people in the restaurant. Our party was 6 people, 5 adults and one child. We waited a good 5 minutes before the employee at the register got off the phone, and another employee showed up to help. Ordered, and went to buffet. Very picked over and NO chicken. Tried telling an employee that the chicken was out, and they acknowledged it, so waited for another 5 minutes, and I finally walked over to the kitchen entry and got another employees attention. The opened up a metal cabinet looking thing and pulled a pan of cooked chicken out. Only a dozen pieces if that. As soon as she placed it on the buffet, the handful people took every piece, so I went for the salad bar and would get the hot food later. Salad bar was very messy, food dropped in surrounding containers, and no selection of salad dressing. After eating the mediocre salad, I went back to the buffet. First I watched a child around 8-9 years of age, touch the pizza slices with her hand, place on her plate, then returned them to the pizza pan on the buffet, no parent in sight. Let employee know, and the slices were removed immediately from buffet. I wish I could eat the pizza, at least that part of buffet was full, but with a dairy intolerance, I couldn't eat it, so I went for the chicken... NO chicken again, so I went to the kitchen entry again to let them know, and was told 5 minutes. Also at that time the cactus bread was down to three pieces so I requested a cherry one for my sister, and peach for myself. 5 minutes had passed, a 1/2 apple 1/2 peach cactus bread came out. chicken finally came out 10 minutes later, 2 wings, the rest of the pieces were thighs and legs. And the customers again devoured it. I did manage to get a wing, I don't care for dark meat. So, I paid to eat a salad, a scoop of potatoes, and a wing. Overpriced and disappointing to say the least! Would not recommend this location ever! If you want to see a decent Pizza Ranch, mosey on down to Indianola! Completely night and day difference! Oh, and no one came and cleared any of the dirty dishes during our meal. read more

Order a chicken bacon ranch pizza no tomatoes. They put extra tomatoes on it. When we called they said they would fix it 1 hour and 30 minutes later still No pizza. So we called back and wanted a refund. They got mad and told us never to come back. But all they staff were eating when we went to get a refund. MISS the old owners! read more

The thin-crust pizza is perfect. Prefer the pizza here over all other pizza joints within a few hundred miles. Standard buffet style pizza joint. The staff is friendly. read more

The cold slaw was spoiled. Had to wait 45 minutes for a 2 piece chicken dinner and it was luke warm when it finally came after requesting it 3 times from a waitress. Had to ask for a refund because of the poor service and bad food. All the employees had dirty clothes on and looked like they needed to clean up before coming to work. Floors were dirty. Silverware didn't look the cleanest, but was able to wipe off with a napkin. Poor management for getting the food bars filled and kept up with the amount of food being taken off. I have tried Pizza Ranch after it took over new ownership!!! I have not been impressed at any time...but I still keep giving them a chance!!! When will I ever learn that the quality isn't what it used to be when it was previously owned??? read more

Usually this is a good franchise to dine at but not this location. When I entered the salad bar was. Depleted and most items low on pizza table and other hot table. Manager said they had a big rush and items would be out in minute. Did not even come close! Dirty tables not cleaned up. Patrons cleaning own area to sit. Will never visit here again read more

Never had eniugh food out. It took for ever to get the food out. One worker was really rude.

They have a great lunch buffet if you see a pizza on the menu that's not on the bar they will make it for you. They also have fried chicken and fixings on the bar read more

Where do I start. Well first I sure miss the well run Pizza ranch that we used to have. This remodel is terrible and you can hear everything that goes on in back cause they are yelling all sorts of stuff. Noazhed potatoes, chicken burnt, no dessert pizzas, had to ask for a pizza request which they always used to ask us when we walked in and after one and a half hrs we never received it and the lady at the register complained from the time we walked in till we left to every customer and the manager ran around with her head cut off. Do you want more well I don't have the time to tell everything but rest assured we will not be back. And we have been coming here since we Stan opened it. Linda was the best manager ever. read more

Very disappointed in the experience. Several family members came into town for a visitation on Friday January 12th. We decided to go to Pizza Ranch because they had a buffet so everyone could get something they wanted. We were met by employee Kevin at the register who told us that we should have made a reservation and that we would have to sit throughout the restaurant because it was 7 and the buffet closes at 8. When we asked if we could push tables together he said "YOU can." So we did the work of getting things set up. 20 people ended up stopping in for dinner that night. While I understand that this is a lot of customers, I also understand that without customers you don't have a business that makes money. We were all met with a very rude staff. One of the employees actually came out of the kitchen and said "Great. I hope they sit here all fucking night and eat pizza." He said this in front of children! This will be the last time any of us eats at a Pizza Ranch, especially at this location. The food was fine. The service was an epic fail. I would go so far as to say the worst service I have ever received. read more

GREAT thin crust pizza. Not overloaded with sauce, but plenty of other toppings. Would definitely order again.

When we got there there was no food. Also we ordered a pizza and the pizza did not come to our table. Thirty minutes later we saw our pizza where the pizza at the pizza buffet and once it came out the starving people ate it all in around fifteen minutes. The chicken was still bleeding when we acquired it. Even with the poor quality of chicken the people ate it in no longer then five minutes. My whole family got four pieces of chicken and fifty percent of chicken was bloody. (Two out of four) When we actually got the pizza it was not bad but even so we did not get that much pizza. read more

I'm not that impressed with their pizza, although I really like their California Chicken. But their Fried Chicken is the best that I've had anywhere! And my son agrees. Their chicken bar is really good! I like the salad bar. I don't know of anything that would make me like it better except taking the green pepper out of the mixed greens and putting it on the bar as optional, because I love mixed greens, but not raw green pepper. But just in case that isn't enough to make you want to go there; then they will bring it to you. They have delivery! Yes, that is right! They will deliver the best chicken, any sides, pizza, cactus bread (dessert pizza), and drinks to you. I love the food and the service at Pizza Ranch. I ate here for first time, thinking will be a better change from Pizza Hut, Dominos- I was absolutely wrong. I woke up next day with upset stomach, nausea and what not!! Avoid it at all cost. It's not worth $15 for a pizza. You loose more next day! read more
