Upon arrival, I was told that my order was just coming out of the oven. I then waited for an additional 25 minutes standing in the front of the restaurant. This was what they were telling all of their customers and the front was filling up and there was around 10 others now waiting. An employee/manager or owner then started yelling at all of his staff and making customers uncomfortable. When my food was finally ready, the same employe was so rude and almost threw my order at me on the counter. This location is very bad and I have not been to it in two years, so I figured I would give them another chance. Never again will I be returning and giving them of my business.

I'd like to start off by saying that this isn't a franchise, so don't expect to find dirt cheap…read moredeals like you would at a franchise restaurant. Franchises while offering a great deal for very little, suffer in quality because of it. The pizza at Centre Pizza is NOT cheap.. However, they do include several things with their "deals" which makes it a better deal, such as drinks, free delivery, etc. Every time someone tells me that they eat at the "best" pizza place, I always give it a try. However, I was born and raised in Ottawa, and have been a pizza nut my whole life, and I have yet to find a pizza that compares to Pizzas at Centre Pizza. At some restaurants I have to eat half the pizza to be full (thin slices, lack of toppings, etc.), at Centre Pizza it only takes a couple of slices to fill me up. Centre Pizza always gets it right., thick Pizzas and they don't hold back on toppings. Their pizza is also a lot less greasy than most places, but not at all dry. They land in the middle. You may spend anywhere from $5-$10 extra on the same sized pizza when compared to their competitors, but the quality is second to none. I'm fortunate enough to live close to Centre Pizza and have been frequenting the establishment on a regular basis for the past 9-10 years. Whenever I try another pizza, no matter how much cheaper, or what deals I get with it, I always feel as though my money would've been spent more wisely at Centre Pizza. When judging pizzas I say that it's fair to compare the most basic and popular pizza, Pepperoni (cheese is not a topping, however, they make a killer cheese pizza too). If you want your mind to be blown, order their Pepperoni and Bacon pizza. Best pizza I have EVER had. I challenge you to find a better pizza anywhere else!

Ever since arriving in Ottawa, my wife and I have been seeking out the best pizza deal in town. It…read morehas become quite a hobby with us and we are constantly pulling up to whatever pizza joints we find to see how they compare. I spotted Centre Pizza one night while shopping in the Vanier area. It is located on a little side street across from the Farm Boy plaza. My favourite yardstick for measuring the spendiness of a pizza place is their slice deal. But, sadly, Centre Pizza doesn't sell slices. It is a straight ahead full pizza place only. Prices are a bit high - but that is because instead of cutting prices, they throw in all sorts of stuff to their deals. A large pizza, 20 wings and 3 drinks, for example, is about $25 bucks. That is a pretty standard range around town. The pizza is okay. They also sell donairs and shawarmas and subs, like many other places in town. Delivery is free, though...

We have been to a lot of pizza joints since moving to Ottawa. We are always looking for good…read moreselection and good deals. A simple request, but strangely hard to find....until we discovered Uncle Joe's. Most places have lots of pizza slice flavours availble, as long as you like pepperoni, pepperoni and pepperoni. Uncle Joe's (although they did push the pepperoni) had many kinds available (veggie, meat lover, greek, etc.). And, the slice came with a deal - two slices and a pop for $3.99. How amazing is that? I just had a slice the other night from a place that charged me $2.99 for one slice and no drink. Jeez! Anyhow, Uncle Joe's also makes and delivers whole pizzas. They also sell sub sandwiches, nachos, chicken fingers, salads, donairs, and pasta. I think this just might be The One.

I picked the veggie pizza (as in the average restaurant it's usually and awesome choice). I was a bit disappointed. The vegetables were sparse and it was close in taste to a plain cheese pizza. My friend liked his pepperoni pizza enough to go back the next day again. So maybe I just had bad karma that day and mediocre pizza was how she paid me back. I don't know. Would I return: Probably not. If I do, I'll be having the pepperoni slice. :-) Would I recommend: Probably not.
