He said they used to have burgers, but from a photo on their website it looks like the menu was updated in 2022 and no burgers anymore. Fried food and Pizza are your options. Yes there are a few other things, but it appears simplified and makes for quicker turn around. We were not really up for pizza but I wanted to try the fried tenderloin sandwich. We decided to split it and get a side of cheesballs. The sandwich came out hot and with a side of crinkle cut fries. It was really good. It wasn't too thin and the batter was really good. The individual that was with us got a salad. The salad was huge! it was so big she had to take most of it with her. I would probably go back for another Tenderloin. Sadly, we were the only ones in the restaurant -- and it felt like not much has changed since the place opened back in the 50s or 60s. Same booths (I'm pretty sure), and not sure the last time they've been deep cleaned. The bathroom in particular was... rough. There's a really cool old jukebox that adds to the nostalgia -- but unfortunately, it was out of order. Would've been nice to sip on a beer while waiting (the pizza took quite a while), but just a heads-up: they only serve canned pop and bottled water. Now, the good news -- once the pizza finally arrived, it was **fantastic**. Classic brick-oven flavor, perfectly crisp, and loaded with flavor. We ate the whole thing even though we'd planned to save leftovers for my daughter and her roommate! Most places use small, white mushroom caps for their deep-fried mushrooms, but these were slices of large portobellos (I think lol). We also really enjoyed the cheeseballs.
