Small town. Small minds…read more I heard a couple say that as I was walking down the street toward this restaurant. It's such an unfair statement, especially when applied to Saskatoon. This is a wonderful little town that punches above its weight. The meal I had here may have been the best I've had in 2023 (or at least tied with the one I had in Marfa, Texas). From the scallions to the pasta to the fish to the pudding like dessert paired with a sweet wine, each course complemented the next. The folks here were all so nice and I trusted them to surprise me with each aspect of the meal. I love it when I can hand that decision to experts. In such a short time, I've come to love Saskatoon. The people here have been great and with a meal like I had tonight, I'll put up this small town against much bigger ones anytime. No small minds here.

My first time trying out @thegranadahouse and it was a good experience!…read more Both Mr C and I got the Sirloin Special which consists of Sirloin Steak, salad, side veggies , garlic toast and potato of choice for $18! Nowadays, I think that's a good deal for the amount of food and quality. The salad was a side dish but it was so beautiful it looked like a main (small) dish! They did went a little heavy on the dressing but I rather it be heavy than too light. 'Twas a good start to the meal! Next is the steak; I asked my steak medium done but it was more of a medium well - which honestly - didn't matter cause it was even better than I expected. It had a really nice charred look AND flavour that once I took that first bite, I just kept on eating! However, as I was getting close to the second half, it got more salty I had to take a bite of steak then a bite of carrots to ease saltiness. Which leads to the next item... Carrots = super soft = YESSSS I LOVE IT! No complaints here No picture for garlic toast but it was okay; I would've liked it more if it was more toasted but I still scarfed it down I got lemon roasted potatoes while Mr C got loaded baked potatoes. We both enjoyed our potatoes very much I do think the lemon roasted could have a bit more flavour but it was still good nonetheless! Last but not least - my second favourite item of the entire meal : French Vanilla Cheesecake I normally don't order desserts cause it's overpriced for one slice BUT it's French vanilla cheesecake!! I couldn't help myself but order to try it and it was amazing. I loved it so much I don't regret ordering it at all It actually gives me inspirations to try making it myself In conclusion, Granada House is definitely a hit on my list and I recommend going for a nice dinner out! It has a very nice family friendly, cozy interior Oh and service was excellent Even tho some flavours were off, I would still order it again as it might've just been a one-off

The lasagna is also a good choice. Only thing I'm not a huge fan of is the pizza sauce, it's a bit sweet for me.

I'm going to try the white pizza next. Very grateful these guys set up shop here in town. Guy who served us is very nice. This will be our regular go to for pizza in Saskatoon. I gave it a lower rating for atmosphere because I don't really think it's designed as a place where you would dine in. We got 2 Meat Pizzas and 2 Veggie Pizzas: MEAT - Both totally delicious. Spicy Jerk Chicken obviously very unique offering! The Broadway was a staple yet delicious meat pizza with sausage and bacon.. and maple syrup?! VEGETARIAN - The 4Maggio was the most amazing cheese pizza that had HONEY on top! This has been a game changer and I can't believe more places don't put honey on top? Be warned, it does also have a truffle oil so you will get a bit of that flavour. I like truffle - my partner isn't the biggest fan. Vegetarian was simply loaded with all the good stuff! Artichokes, red onions, feta, red peppers. It was a solid pizza. Also with honey! Drool. You can also get some small little containers of oil to pour over your pizza that levels up your pizza.

This was our favourite 7-11...until they started serving food about a year ago. We used to get…read morequick service with a friendly smile. There was never a lineup at the till. Now you are guaranteed to be stuck behind at least five people in line, and it's going to take ten minutes to get in and out with just a Slurpee. And now the staff there are unhappy, unfriendly, and stressed out. The Slurpee machines are often obviously in need of service, the floors are filthy, and there is often stock in boxes set in the aisles. Not to mention the crowds of gang members and "alleged" drug dealers who fill the few parking spaces near the gas pumps. I don't know if this store changed owners or what, but it's gone downhill fast. 7-11 corporate should buy this store back and clean it up!

There was only one server and by the time there was 3 tables she got quickly overwhelmed and service was pretty slow. We started with the Kashk Bademjan, its incredibly good and I highly recommend ordering this. The server almost accidentally give our mains to another table but she caught it in time. I got the Khoresh Gheymeh (lamb stew I believe), it seems like they no longer offer it as I don't see it on their online menu. It was pretty good and I liked the strong lime flavours. By this point in our meal the server couldn't keep up with all the tables and we ended up having to pile of our dishes off to the side of our table. The dessert was the highlight of the evening, the cheesecake was average but the saffron cake was delicious! One of the best cakes I've ever had! By the end of our meal the owner came to help the server and it was great to see him helping on the floor! He was very kind and explained that one of there servers called in sick and they couldn't get another worker in on time. Overall I enjoyed the evening and it was great to experience a different kind of cuisine then I am used to. The only reason this review is a 4/5 is because of the service, while the sole server was good she was very slow and made a few mistakes.
