I actually came around 7:45pm on a Friday night. Big store's pizza place just closed so I had to find an alternative. Becareful on the drive in, the driveway is full of huge potholes. Ordered a Hawaiian pizza, it's what I always do because my daughter loves pineapples. The lady said 20 mins. Ok cool no problem. I sat in my car as it was pretty chilly outside with the gusting wind. As I say I noticed the food truck with the fire wood oven and thought it was cool and his pizza has got to be good. We waited and as more customers came in they all picked up their orders while we continued to wait. She said another 15 mins so sure no big deal. We waited and watched as more customers came in after us ordering and got their food and left. Checked back in and she asked for another 5 mins. As I waited with other customers outside you can hear the staff arguing out loud. After nearly an hour later I finally got my pizza. Came home and we had it and I dunno where to start. I don't need it to be loaded with ingredients but this was like a thick pan pizza with tons of cheese and some pineapples and little pieces of ham. Sauce was good but maybe too much, but with only 2 toppings I would expect this pizza to be nice and crispy and not a soggy cheese pizza. It just wasn't appetizing. My wife decided to skip dinner after looking at it and I was stuck having to hear about having pizza again the next time.

The service was 5 stars and the main reason for me settling on a generous 4 star review. There was an extremely nice and helpful younger gentleman & girl working. We only got a pizza. The pizza was good but not great flavor wise. It was massive in size though. The homemade ranch dressing was excellent and the simple offering of ranch to go with the pizza spoke right to my heart!! I hate to be reading about a rude and negative owner that same day. I'm Glad we missed him. He's lucky to have the staff that he had there yesterday as they made an average food experience an overall great one.

Tucked away in this charming small town is Goodfella's Pizzeria -- a simple, quaint spot with a casual country atmosphere. It may not be fancy, but what it lacks in style it more than makes up for in flavor and genuine hospitality. This beloved pizzeria has been owned and operated by Hamid and his son Arash for 29 years... and when a place stays in business that long, you know they're doing something very right. My grandson and I started our meal with a chef salad served on a large, huge platter that was easily big enough for two people. It was piled high with fresh, crispy greens and loaded with bite-sized ham, cheese, tomatoes, cucumbers, olives, and crunchy croutons with your choice of dressing. I only managed to eat half and happily took the rest home. It was fresh, hearty, and absolutely delicious. But the real star of the show was still to come. We ordered their legendary "butter crust" Meat-Eater's Delight pizza, and let me tell you... this pizza is the stuff of dreams. I ordered a large so I could bring some home to my hubby, and every slice was packed with pepperoni, sausage, beef, bacon, and Canadian bacon. A true pizza lover's paradise. That buttery crust? Pure magic. Golden, crisp on the outside, soft and flavorful on the inside. Every bite tasted better than the one before. Honestly, everything about this pizza was perfect. And just as impressive as the food was the hospitality. Hamid and Arash truly know how to make every customer feel welcome. Their kindness and friendly service make the experience even more special. So let me say this loud and clear... RUN -- don't walk -- to Sour Lake and give Goodfella's Pizzeria a visit! This hidden gem is absolutely Best Bites approved with a glowing five-star rating! Trust me... one bite and you'll understand why. Tell them Best Bites sent you.

We hadn't had food from Mama Teresa's in quite some time, but last night I saw a Facebook post from them showcasing their crab claws in spicy marinara. I happen to love crab claws and this post reminded me that Mama Teresa's had some good ones. Tonight's dinner from Mama T's: spicy crab claws and shrimp in marinara and a large pizza with extra cheese, bell peppers, and black olives. We're talking about some excellent eats here. Even our car Rudy approved of the shrimp (de-sauced by his mommy, me) and devoured all the pieces that I allowed him to have. Oh, about that sauce -- it's really good! The spice is bold but there's an underlying depth of flavor that indicates someone takes sauce very seriously indeed. I'm a big fan. While I thought the crab might've been a smidge over cooked (they were still quite tasty), the shrimp were perfection. Orange tabby cats agree! The pizza got a thumbs up from my husband who approved of the quality of the ingredients. That said, he wanted a heavier hand with the toppings and a little more tang in the sauce. I enjoyed it, but both of us wanted more rise in the crust and some char. Ours was a pick up order, but next time we'll dine in. Dan noticed that their draft beer selection was better than most, and the wine choices were okay, too. My take away - visit places that you've unintentionally put on the back burner. You'll probably be very pleasantly surprised. Eat and shop locally!!

I wish we could have just sat and worked through their whole menu... we'll definitely be back next time to sample more. On this first go-round we had the meatball apps and boudain eggrolls. The meatballs were very tender and well seasoned. You only get theee per order but they are a nice size, not tiny. The eggrolls were delish and paired wonderfully with the mustard dipping sauce, but I thought they could use a boost of spice in the boudain - between the fried wrappers and the mustard, the nuanced flavors of the boudain itself gets a bit lost. Still excellent. For the beer we opted for No One Asked, which is described as a brown ale but drinks more like a porter and was a nice choice with all of the apps and pizza. We settled on the Meat Machine for a shareable pizza but I would have also loved to try the Gochu-Gang and the Herbed Ricotta, but they all sound creative and tasty... so many options, so little time! If you haven't been here yet - DO IT!
