The waiter took a long time to take our order, there was only 1 other customer. Waiter vanished, never checked on us again. After 45 minutes, we had no pizza, and no check in. Then the power went out. Obviously, this is not his fault, these things happen. The minimum is to come out and talk to the customers. We waited for several minutes, no staff appeared, so we left. I felt bad to have ordered and left, but the staff were not present. This was a failure, and it was their fault. If they dont' care about our order, then its hard for us to care more then them. If we had gotten our order, I wouldn't have tipped because of this absent service. They weren't busy enough for this to be acceptable, were a table of three. Unprofessional, waste of time, and service was negligent.

Asked to speak to the manager and a woman came to speak to me. I asked if she was the manager and she said no, she's over there and busy. I proceeded to Complain to the person about the garbage cans and dirty tables and was told "we've been busy"! She was very rude and unapologetic about the state of the restaurant. I asked for the owners name and she said " I don't know the owners name", she didn't even offer to go find out!!! The Manager of that location needs to be on top of everything in the restaurant!! We regularly go there after work on Sundays but we will not go there anymore. Totally disgusting!!!

Perth was my stretching point on a recent road trip heading home from Ottawa. After being out and…read moreabout for two hours, I decided to pull over at this Wendy's. I had no problem finding a parking spot. I pulled into an available one and walked into the eatery. There is a drive-thru. It was doing steady business at around 2 pm on a Sunday. I used the women's washroom. It was decent and maintained nicely. I always feel guilty using the washroom without buying a thing. I felt like a Frosty. I lined up to get a small chocolate one. This Wendy's has a hometown feel. The woman at the counter was super nice, remembering locals by their first names, and being equally warm to visitors like me. I paid with a debit card. A small Frosty is $1 all summer long. I thanked her and headed to my car with my treat. My favourite Frosty in Vaughan gives you a lid, a spoon, and a straw for your Frosty. I never use the straw. This place gives you a spoon only. I kind of dig the simplicity. My Frosty hit the spot. I sat in my car and consumed it. It was creamy and satisfied my frozen treat craving. I then drove away and continued heading westbound. This Wendy's was the perfect stop to take a break and grab a small Frosty on a hot day. (252)

TL;DR/The Short Version: Cute little bistro in Perth, ON…read more We lucked out and they had lobster rolls on their menu when we were there. They were delicious. The Long Version: The hubster and I had lunch at the Rocky River Cafe and it was fantastic. They have their regular menu but then they also have a special menu that changes daily. We were thrilled to see lobster rolls on their special menu the day we went. It was $23.95 for a lobster roll, coleslaw and fries or a salad. I got mine with the salad and my husband got his with fries. The lobster roll was big, much bigger than at other places out east. The bun was like a hoagie rather than a hot dog bun. Bigger is always better! Lol. The lobster meat was plentiful and really tasty. I liked that they didn't mix the lobster meat with the mayo but rather slathered the bread with mayo and filled the sandwich with buttered lobster meat. It made it easier for me to remove some of the mayo, since I'm not a huge fan of mayo. The bun was soft and fresh. I had asked for the salad dressing on the side and the server even wrote it down because she said "oh I have to write that down." Despite all this, the salad came dressed :( It was a bit overdressed for my liking, but not excessively so, and we were hungry, so I just ate it. It was a spring mix, a slice of cucumber (it was cut on the oblique, so not as stingy as it sounds), a ring of red pepper and a few grape tomatoes cut into quarters. The dressing was an herb vinaigrette. My husband's fries were delicious. I sort of regretted not getting fries, haha. The coleslaw was mayo based and had cabbage and carrots. It did not have much seasoning to it. I did not enjoy it and gave most of it to my husband. My husband also had a coffee after the meal ($3.25). Service was pleasant. We chose to sit in the little front room which just had 3 tables in it, so it's a bit secluded and quieter. The main dining room is bigger and more open. We enjoyed being in the small room but it was a bit cold in there. I don't think the insulation is good (it was freezing outside). Washrooms are upstairs and were also very cold. Although oddly the landing before the washrooms was very warm. There was no hot water in the washrooms. Only ice cold water to wash hands. Yikes. Despite the cold washrooms and cold dining area at the front of the restaurant, and my overdressed salad, I still really enjoyed my meal and would return. Lately it's been getting worse and worse. We ordered: Choose your own pasta + sauce (penne with Alfredo sauce) Cheeseburger with onion rings 2 grilled cheese sandwiches Nowhere on the menu does it say that choose your own pasta comes with onions or mushrooms, so when it arrived with both, we sent it back asking for neither. It came back.... still had onions in it. The cheeseburger and onion rings came with no onion rings, fries instead. The grilled cheese came with no cheese. It looks like cheese might have once been on the bread, but later removed. It was truly the most perplexing. I love to support local restaurants but this isn't the first disappointment from them (last time we were told we didn't read the menu correctly despite doing exactly that), and this time just sealed the deal that we will be unable to return unless there is new management and a better cook. We really liked ordering from here often, but things have taken such a severe turn for the worse that we cannot risk wasting more time and money. Buyer Beware Sincerely, Missing-The-Old-Eating-Place

One of my colleagues is from Perth and when I told her my husband and I were doing a day trip to Perth as part of our staycation, she recommended we have lunch at Fieldhouse. I love bakeries, so we followed her recommendation. The place is a lot smaller than I expected. It only has seating for 8 inside (4 tables of 2) and 4 picnic tables outside (so seating for about 16 outside). I got the Chicken and Brie sandwich ($14.75) and added a side salad for my husband and I to share ($5). My husband got the Ham and Swiss sandwich ($14.25) and we also got a cruffin ($5.25) for dessert, but ended up taking it home. Before we left my husband got an Americano to go ($3). I enjoyed my sandwich. The bread was crusty and held the ingredients of the sandwich well. The peppery arugula in the sandwich went well with the chicken and Brie. I was thrilled that the chicken was real roasted chicken breast meat (and not deli meat, lol). The aioli was flavourful but a bit excessive in quantity for my tastes. It dripped onto the plate with every bite, lol. The salad was leaf lettuce, shredded cabbage and carrots. Vegetables were fresh. I asked for the dressing on the side and it came as requested. The dressing was a creamy dressing and on the runny side. I'm glad I asked for it on the side, as I used only about a third of it. I had a bite of my husband's sandwich and it was ok, but I much preferred mine. He liked his better, so it all worked out. His was on a fluffier and softer bread. The ham was deli ham, but it tasted ok. The Swiss cheese was nippy. Service was pleasant. My husband enjoyed his Americano. We had the Brownie Cruffin at home. The pastry was flakey and delicious. The chocolate filling was like a rich chocolate pudding. It was very decadent. Overall we enjoyed our meal, but I found it a bit pricey, but I guess in today's economy, this is what you pay for sandwiches. Street parking only. (125)

Decadent cookies, flaky croissants, which is seemingly their specialty with cruffins (muffins made with croissant dough and filled with magic) traditional croissants, and cinnamon sugar morning buns, which are all on the menu daily. The cruffins are perfection. My personal favourite is the lemon blueberry, the perfect balance of buttery, tart and sweet.
