This place is absolutely terrible. I ordered a simple meat lovers pizza for my elderly father to take it to him. It was already sitting waiting with my name and the receipt. My son got out of the car to be nice and grab it, the ignorant woman in the back took forever to Even come up and help him, then before he could say anything she says "just wait" and left him standing there. So I came in After more than 5 min asked what was going on and she said she couldn't work the register and her manager was in the bathroom. So I said welp I'm going to reach in and grab the pizza out of the warmer, that I already paid for and leave then. This location was chosen over the one on Plaza Blvd because of the horrible experiences we have had with the Plaza Blvd location. I ordered online for pickup and the app was acting up so it would not process 3-4 times. Finally, I opted to do an order and "pay at pickup" instead of pre-paying, and the order went through on the 5th time. The location called me an hour before my pickup time to tell me that my order was submitted twice. They were checking to see if I meant to have 2 orders. I told them no and thanked them for confirming. I arrived on time for pickup and my order was ready. The male cashier who helped me was very customer service friendly. ****Updated Review**** So glad that things have seemed to change at this location since I last wrote my updated review 5 months ago. From.picking up in store to delivery the last few months, it has been amazingly delicious, as we have come to expect from our lovely chain pizza place. Recently tried the new melts and opt for the Buffalo chicken. At first I was somewhat sad as I was expecting it to be drizzle with sauce and while I was pleasantly surprised with all the cheese, it was not drenched in sauce. It wasn't until after I ate a piece that my mouth knew otherwise... it detected spice! My son finished the personal.pizza before I could even finish one of the melts. It looks like it is thin crust and half of a large pizza that is then folded and cut in half... so essentially you are eating 2 pizza slices at once. Super delicious though and only $6.99. Highly recommend trying one! Maybe ask for extra sauce on the side. Unfortunately this time our personal pizza didn't come with the 20oz drink (and I forgot all about it) - so that needs to be reminded. Also, I've notice there are no more stickers being used on the pizza boxes.. Otherwise so glad to have our spot back! read more

There is a lobby area unfortunately it's closed until further notice. You can order curbside, carry out, or delivery only. I took advantage of the $11.99 large pizza special went with the basics. My review is entirely based upon the pizza and not the customer service. Customer service was 5 star. I was greeted as soon as I walked in, my server helped me decide on a pizza and my order was ready in a very short time. But when it comes to the pizza, Yelp says it best with the two star rating... "meh, I've experienced better". I can remember a long time ago always ordering Pizza Hut and being satisfied. It's never been my favorite for pizza but it used to be decent enough to satisfy a pizza craving. Recently a friend told me they had a pizza from Pizza Hut and it got me thinking how long it had been since I have had Pizza Hut and decided to give it a try. For starters, what they call a large truly isn't a genuine large size pizza. Like so many things these days that are part of a chain and are mass produced, the size has decreased. Go to any "mom & pop" pizza shop or non-chain pizza shop and you see what a REAL large pizza looks like. And like so many other chain restaurants, they use just a smidgen of cheese and sauce. I know cheese is one of the biggest expenses when you talk about pizza toppings but gone are the days when you would take a piece of pizza and the cheese would stretch from your slice to the rest of the pie. But the sauce? Sauce is SO cheap... why do you have to skimp so much? We had a a "Supreme" (pepperoni, seasoned pork [I guess that's different from sausage?!?], beef, mushrooms, green peppers and onions). Again, I remember when Pizza Hut introduced the 'Supreme' pizza decades ago and all I can say is the taste has gone downhill. Nothing tasted fresh. All the meats tasted almost like they were engineered or created. I've had better tasting sausage, sorry... 'seasoned pork', from Whole Foods. I don't know what they are using for the pork or pepperoni, but they are so flavorless. The crust is okay, but these days, I don't know if you could taste the difference between Pizza Hut, Domino's or Papa John's in a blind taste test. But like so many other places, when they start adding all sorts of other items, "garlic knots", wing and more... the main dish, the pizza, suffers. Pizza Hut serves fries as one of their sides. Fries?!? I don't think I've ever even seen fries at an Italian restaurant let alone a pizza shop. So sad but at least my craving for a Pizza Hut pizza has been put to rest and I can't imagine I'll ever get that craving ever again. read more

I ordered a pizza today for my daughter after school. And I guess Pizza Hut uses the third-party delivery company like Uber eats. I will never ever ever order delivery again the person who delivered my pizza looked like he wanted to rob me. Didn't speak English wouldn't hand me my pizza and kept looking inside my home. when I called Pizza Hut asking for a supervisor I received a manager by the name of Jasmine, who was basically like "oh I can't find out who it is. This place had creeped me out! The lady at the register was definitely being shady. I had ordered a pizza and realized once the order was ready that one of the employees had done something to the pizza. She gave off a guilty conscience when I asked if the order was ready for pickup. She immediately said "I'm the manager" with the question being asked and then she continued to become defensive. I had asked if she should have me purchase the pizza and if anything was wrong with it. She might have salivated over the pizza while it was being made. This Pizza Hut has a special place in my heart because it's original location was a place that my family and I visited often when I was younger. I usually order for pick up and for the most part there is no trouble and it tastes great every time. Recently I learned they are charging for the packets of cheese and peppers .10¢ each plus tax which ends up being.11¢ each. On today's pick up it was still a good experience. read more

What a disappointment! I ordered online at 6:26pm, and finally got our pizza delivered at 8:15pm. It said delivery was 65 minutes. Pizza was cold and hard as a rock! We used the air fryer to warm it up, which helped, but the crust tasted like cardboard! The quality of the ingredients was also hard and not fresh at all! I only ordered from them because the other Pizza stores charged a delivery fee, service fee And Driver tip! Pizza gut charged only an extra service fee and driver tip. I have seen the Pizza Hut commercial quite a few times on television within the last few days. Pizza Hut advertised a large 3 topping pizza for $10. I called and ordered that same pizza I also verified that I was ordering the 3 topping $10 deal and I even made the guy who took my order repeat the toppings and the price and that I was right outside the Pizza Hut store on Sweetwater Road in National City, CA. I was told that it would be ready in 15 minutes. I walked in and announced who I was and had my debit card in my hand. I was then told that my order will cost $24 and I asked to hear just what it was that I had ordered. The $10 dollar pizza was not being sold at that particular store and I explained that the nice guy who took my order said nothing about that. Another employee walked up and stated that the person who took my order didn't know what he was talking about. The know it all employee said that she would make me a new one topping large pizza for $15. There were other people in there at the same time and they even questioned the dummies that were trying their hand at the bait and switch game. I thought about forcing them to sell me the pizza for the $10 but I just threatened them with the DA's office and I huffed out. So the next day I tried to order the same pizza from the Plaza Bonita Store only to be told that the $10 deal was not available at that store either. One star given for the fact that they got the cheese sticks order correct. However, my other two items were incomplete and was very upsetting when I brought over the pizza and cinnamon sticks home. I order a large pizza with pepperoni and sausage all around, and as you can see in the photo, I only got sausage on one half of the pizza. Food was labile and somewhat mediocre. Delivery driver was very friendly and prompt! Unfortunately, these folks are catching ire because things are expensive enough in California. Goofs on our food orders cannot go unmentioned - especially while on vacation. We are a traveling brood of 7! The cheese pizza was good according to the kids. The pepperoni pizza was over-done. My small order of Buffalo bone-in wings was great. My wife's small order of boneless honey bbq wings tasted like chemical coating after-taste sauce was used to cook them. I was subjected to one per her request, and understand why she was so ticked...she loves chicken wings and her order fell way short of meeting her anticipations. I love when my wife has me share in her food-order fails...said no one ever. To top it off - we paid for two orders of ranch dressing for the wings. They weren't delivered. Pizza Hut - we pay $4.99 for delivery (yeah, over 10% of the food cost folks!) And we always tip our take-out people well during the pandemic. We like this new location pretty neat and clean. Our server was a nice young lady very attentive to customers. We ordered chicken Alfredo pasta good for 2 with breadsticks for $9.00 pretty good deal we all share. The Hershey's chocolate brownie is out of this would freshly baked from the oven super delish ! I tried it and it was bomb! $5.99. My son got a free personal pan pizza from his school reading coupon reward. Overall experience was great and awesome CS. I'm done with this location. Every time I've gone here I've gotten terrible service. I just went there and the restaurant was completely empty because me and one person ahead of me. I had to stand there for 10 minutes before I was finally helped. I get home and opened the box, and half the pizza doesn't have fucking cheese on it. Last time I went there I was told I would be helped in just a moment. After I waited 20 minutes still standing there, I left and went to the Pizza Hut location on Plaza Blvd and placed my order as soon as I got there and I was out in 10 minutes. So i send my girl to get a pizza for carry~out, and she comes out with a large pepperoni with chicken and I noticed that she only has four napkins. I tell her that she needs to go back and get some more. It takes four napkins just to suck up the grease on the pizza. What about your face? I mean this junk food is very messy to eat, most of the time. She comes back with another four napkins. She tells me that the "stupid" girl tells her "didn't i just give you some?" This is a fairly new location, strip-center style, after a move a couple hundred meters from their former spot, a purpose-built Pizza Hut with the characteristic architecture. It sits forlornly vacant after many months . . . I make a habit of ordering pizza via the PH website, which has unfailingly provided timely and hot-from-the-oven pizza for pickup. My drive time for pickup matches the time to prepare and cook the pies, proving to me there is a God out there somewhere. The newly-revamped pizza menu is very interesting, and worth trying, especially using the special offers delivered via E-mail. Can't go wrong. I served two pizzas and a box of wings for a casual family gathering . . . And after placing the slices of pizza on plates, several commented about the "artisan" pizza and great flavors. I eventually mentioned it was from Pizza Hut, and got some incredulous looks. The slices disappeared quickly, and stunted conversation for a little while, since everybody was stuffing their pie-holes. The box of wings, on the other hand, was unremarkable. Placed and order for carryout and staff was ok no problem there the problem was when I got home. I opened the box to find that my green peppers were actually black. We called them up to ask if we could get a replacement pizza and since I had already gotten home I didnt want to lose my on street parking spot so we asked if they could deliver and they said no and they could only credit us $5 although I paid $9 and change . So we originally decided to go eat at the Coronado location . Once we got there we saw a sign saying they had closed & to visit the national city location . Once we got to the National city location the dinning area was empty besides the young couple who had got there before us . Employees were not welcome at all . It even took the waiter about 20 -25 mins after we got there to take our order . The food then came out fast but our pizza was very greasy . Not a location I would visit again and pizza was okay . The driver was extremely rude! I placed an order for delivery, 30min later I hear the knock in the door, I open it and see no one there. I stayed at the door for about 2 min and saw no car so I figured the driver had left. I then get a call from papa johns and the driver was so rude, he said "I've been knocking and knocking and there's no answer" I responded with "I actually opened up and there was no one there" he then said "well are you there now?" We don't know if this is a corporate company decision or a decision each store makes individually but we weren't happy with our last take-out order when we requested for to-go packets of crushed red pepper and Parmesan cheese. Upon request, we were told by the staff that they're now $0.10 per packet... Really? That would be like a hamburger restaurant charging extra for ketchup, mustard, relish, and/or mayonnaise; or a taco shop charging for salsa, jalapeños, or red/green hot sauce; or a coffee shop charging for packets of powdered cream, sugar/sweetener. I can't really see the reasoning for the unnecessary up charges which restaurants are imposing lately. When is it going to stop? Will they start charging me for ice next when I order a soda or iced tea? "Sir, ice is now an extra $0.20 or your soda will only be served chilled ice-less." Pizza Hut isn't the only corporate chain pizza restaurant in town and there are options. The sad things is we actually like their pizza and this location is very close to us. We hope that corporate Pizza Hut or the management staff at this location, whomever is responsible for this change of charging condiments will reverse this as its enough to go with Pizza Hut alternatives based on principle alone. read more
