We have always enjoyed Hangry joes. Our favorite part is the sandwich of course. It's huge and they…read morehave a ton of flavors to choose from. But not tonight. We both got chicken sandwiches that were average size of a cfa sandwich. We've eaten here a dozen times in the past and the chicken in the sandwich was so massive you couldn't eat it all in one sitting. This was very disappointing neither of us had eaten today, our appetites were raging. It's not a bad sandwich. BUT for the price we pay, over cfa, we expect to get a more interesting, and a much larger sandwich. If yall have intentionally lowered the minimum size spec for a filet to be used on a sandwich, I strongly recommend reversing that decision because the oversized sandwich was a huge selling point. Aside from the smaller sandwich, all was well. The food was delicious, the girl behind the counter that took my order was patient and very thorough and professional, the restaurant was clean, there was a wait, there's always a wait, but we don't mind waiting for fresh food.

My favorite thing that I love the most is the cheese wontons. Some of the best I've had. No crab, just sugary cream cheese wrapped up in a crispy shell. I used to love the sesame chicken when it was crispy and saucy. Now it is less crisp. I do really like the teriyaki chicken as long as it isn't overcooked. Tonight was good. I usually try a little of several things. Didn't partake in the salad or dessert, aside from an ice cream come. It isn't a large food bar. I enjoy coming here and supporting this friendly owner. I definitely plan to return. Visited today with some friends. Been here a few times. I got a wing plate which is 8 wings and a side for $14 with tax. The prices on the menu include tax. I opted for a new sauce today and got Hot Honey Garlic. It was alright. The garlic was pungent. After the first few bites it was more bearable. I got onion rings as my side. They're very thin, almost like onion straws. I prefer their fries. One friend got the honey wings. They were sweet. Not a ton of flavor. I liked mine better. Neither flavor comes close to the Hot or Xtra Hot. Those are very tasty and at the top of the list. I will stick to those. Don't get turned off by Xtra Hot. They have the right amount of heat for a chicken wing. The hot is almost comparable to a "medium" heat. My other friend got the Special of the Day, Steak Sandwich. It looked ok. No cheese. They forgot to add his horseradish aioli. They brought it after-the-fact. He said it probably would have been better on it while it was hot. He also bought an appetizer trio for the table. The loaded fries were good. The bacon was real bacon and cheese like a nacho cheese. The fried green beans and pickles were delicious. The bean had like a tempura batter. The pickles had a cornmeal type batter. With nothing under them to soak up the grease the pickles on the bottom ended up being too greasy. But I want to get them because the ones that were good were pretty good. Owner came out and checked on us. Overall the people are pretty friendly. I will come back for sure. But sticking to my normal wings.
