It was a great experience to have pizza straight from the oven and dine in an outdoor, picnic-style setting. The establishment beside the Yaki Jones's Puzza is a heritage home, and a visitor center that's run by the city, which provides a free picnic area for visitors. They even serve free lemonades for the kids. I think this place is a must try, when you're in Merritt.

I got the Kentucky beef melt with jalapenos on the side with a side of clam chowder. Both the chowder and the beef melt were pretty good. The sweetness from the bourbon sauce really shone through and I was happy with the portions (not overly filling). Our server (Shane I think) came by regularly to top up drinks and checked in on us. However, I was pleasantly surprised at how good their sashimi and dragon roll was. Sashimi was fresh. Dragon roll was made well and tasty. We also ordered some Korean fried chicken and deep fried dumplings. The fried chicken was nicely battered, well seasoned and crispy. My child finished all the dumplings and said it was good. My only complaint is that their sashimi selection was basically salmon and tuna. It probably has more to do with the customer base. Restaurant was bright and modern. Restrooms were clean. The mood was lively with how busy it was. Service was okay for a busy restaurant. It took about 30 mins for us to receive our first item after entering the restaurant and placing our order. The restaurant was very busy with customers and takeout orders. Overall, it was a great dining experience and a 4.5 star experience.
