The server was young, only 1.5 months of experience, but friendly and attentive. Draft be selection was limited (7) but i enjoyed a point of Buffalo Sweat... my buddy enjoyed his locally brewed Amber. He said that his Philly sandwich was better than he expected and the waffle fries were crispy and tasty. My burger was hand pattied and tasty if perhaps too small for the brioche bun. PROS: - happening place - friendly servers - good pub food - great tv viewing sports bar - adjoining bowling alley and arcade would occupy kids - waffle fries are perfectly done CONS: - slow delivery of food - waitress wasn't familiar with beer options nor many of the food options - too much bun, not enough burger Overall, good place if you're looking for a sports bar or entertainment for kids, but maybe not the best option if you're looking for high quality dining.

AJ's Sports Grill 1221 E 23rd Ave…read moreHutchinson, KS 67502 (620) 259-8771 Dear AJ's Sports Grill Management, I am writing regarding my experience at your establishment last Tuesday, when I arrived to pick up an order for two Perfect 300 pizzas. We have enjoyed ordering from your restaurant since moving to the area a year ago, which is why this experience was particularly disappointing. On previous pickup and delivery orders, we received the buy-one-get-one-free promotion, so we had no reason to understand that the offer was limited to dine-in customers. When I arrived to pick up the two pizzas last Tuesday, I was told that I would have to pay for both. What concerns me most is that another customer at the bar explained that purchasing a drink would qualify for the promotion. That customer finished a beer and was then allowed to leave with two boxed pizzas, yet I was not offered the same option. Instead, I left with only one pizza while the second was discarded. Given the circumstances, I believe I should have been given the same opportunity, and I find the inconsistent handling of the promotion difficult to understand and accept. I respectfully ask that you review what happened and consider how situations like this are handled going forward. Clear and consistent communication of the promotion would help prevent other customers from having a similar experience. We have appreciated your restaurant in the past, but this incident has significantly affected our confidence in returning. I hope you will take this complaint seriously and respond with an explanation of how this situation could have been handled differently. Sincerely, Susie Pfannenstiel susiepfannenstiel0502@gmail.com

The entire event of dining here felt oppressive, as if the atmosphere created by the owners was geared toward a certain type of people that gravitate towards things that don't bring happy thoughts to most folks' minds. It has an overwhelming kinship to another pizza place I reviewed in Washington DC called Comet Pizza. Same atmosphere, same odd staff, same crummy food. I don't imagine it's a stretch to assume the same after hours activities abound here that also took place at Comet. That's more than likely the reason for the poor, disturbing atmosphere that haunts the establishment. Of course finding out that the leader of the infatuation of children alliance in Hutchinson,KS, Mr. John Eberly, is a frequent visitor here. The food is almost as bad as Mr. Eberly's music and artwork, but not quite. If you visit, for God's sake, please DO NOT bring your children. I cannot stress this enough.
