I'm a big fan of Cook Out, and this location is no exception. Where else can you get away with a…read morefilling meal for around $5, and even sub in a shake if you're not in the mood for a drink? If you're in the mood for a great meal at an affordable price, drop by here. That being said, this location is not used to high volume, and their speed shows it. Compared with other locations, they are a bit slow in processing customers, even with a well-designed split drive-thru. While they probably don't experience any "rushes" to justify the need to be super-quick, it would sure increase the frequency of my visits here if I knew I wouldn't have to sit in line for 10 minutes every time. TIP: If you order a tray (and let's be honest, you absolutely should), try to order items of defined quantity, aka order quesadillas, wraps, and burgers and not fries or hushpuppies. Why? Because they barely give you any of fries or hushpuppies in a tray, as they run out of room. Solution? Order those defined-number items in the tray, then order a SIDE of fries or hushpuppies so they end up in a separate bag, and then you get a bunch of them! Enjoy! Overall: 4.0 stars ---- Pros: - Excellent food, huge variety of available food items and drinks, including Cheerwine if you're into that. - Prices are quite literally unbeatable. No coupons, though. - Easy-to-access location and the lines are generally fairly short. - Interior appears clean, though I have never dined-in here. Cons: - This location is one of the slower ones I have been to. This is fine in Huntington where there aren't many customers, though if they tried to operate at this speed in Richmond after the bars let out, they would not survive, haha.

First off, I've never seen a McDonald's that can't even get a simple order right. I asked for a plain burger and got a soggy mess covered in ketchup and mustard, which I didn't ask for. When I politely asked for it to be remade, the staff looked at me like I was asking for a personal favor. There was zero urgency, and I was treated like I was inconveniencing them by ordering food. If I could rate the attitude, it'd be a solid minus 5 stars. Then there's the cleanliness--let's just say it's a health code violation waiting to happen. The tables were sticky, the floor had spilled drink all over it, and the bathroom? Don't even get me started. It looked like it hadn't been cleaned in days. Oh, and the speed? Don't even think about it. I waited over 15 minutes for a simple meal during a time when there was barely anyone in the restaurant. If you want fast food, this is definitely not the place. All in all, Lavallette McDonald's is a joke. You're better off making the trip to the next town over if you actually want decent food, service, and cleanliness. Avoid at all costs unless you want to test your patience and question your life choices.
