The good: Chocolate chip cookies (although expensive 6 cookies for $12 and they weren't jumbo by any means) the French fries were good too! The lady who took our order was nice! The bad: Tomato bisque-the chef hyped it up that it was amazing and it was just average. Would not go back for it. The BBQ pulled pork sandwich-the pulled pork was good don't get me wrong but the bun was so soggy from the sauce and meat it fell apart! French fries were left out of our bag and they ate stingy on the ketchup packets. No inside seating only seating is outside. The ugly: The Philly Cheesesteak! We had seen that people love the cheesesteak here bit sadly it was one of the worst I have had! No seasoning on the meat, hardly any cheese and the roll wasn't given the nice taste of cooking it for a few on a hot top, so again mushy bread! No thank you! Sorry, won't be back!

After readng several of the most recent comments and reviews we decided to re-visit Sals in Hayes…read more I really like what they've done with the place; the ambience is a bit brighter & more updated. The menu is pretty much the same so we stuck with our old standbys. There were 4 of us and two ordered their favorite pizzas while another ordered chicken parm. 3 of us had salads but I was the only one who chose the antipasto. I also ordered the appetizer of chicken wings. Not much of a fan of them usually but had a yen for them. When they arrived I dropped my jaw. THEY WERE HUGE. I hadn't been aware that they were strictly buffalo wings but ordered the mild. I tried one but only after I ate my entree of the linguine with garlic & oil. Yum. I am happy to report that it's some of the best I've had. Lots and lots of garlic and the bowl isn't swimming in olive oil. After finishing that I was too full but ate one wing & brought the rest home. Now my only complaint is that all my food came out at once. That's not my idea of enjoying the restaurant. Salad first, appetizers and then entree. The way that was done doesn't allow you to savor your courses. While I'm enjoying my salad my wings and pasta are getting cold. Not ideal. The service was good, we were checked on regularly and the server was very attentive Thank you Sals for an enjoyable night out. It was a pleasure dining with you.

The person on the phone was not particularly friendly and my wife said when she went to pick up the order they were not particularly friendly either which was not a promising start. I ordered the chicken marsala with spaghetti. My wife ordered their cheese stromboli. We also got an order of garlic knots, a Greek salad, tiramisu, and a cannoli. When we got home with the food we found that the portions were huge. For $4 we got at least a dozen large delicious garlic knots and marinara sauce. My wife's stromboli was enormous, almost wouldn't fit in the pizza box that came in. My chicken marsala had so many pieces of tender chicken I couldn't count them all and the box it was full of spaghetti and some of the most delicious marsala sauce I have ever had. If there was one disappointing aspect 2-hour order it was the Greek salad. The cost was $12.95 but it was mostly lettuce with tiny cubes of feta cheese pieces, some olives and cucumbers. Not much for that price. However the rest of the meal was ample and wonderful.. Even the cannoli had a crispy shell and filling from end to end. My wife said her tiramisu was also delicious. If it had not been for the skimpy salad and the less than friendly service I would have given Charlie's five stars. It was a surprising new dining experience and I hope to have the opportunity to eat in soon and see what that experience is like.

They taste like Armour brand meatballs to me but they were covered in shredded cheese and a rich sauce. They are very saucy. The personal size thin crust pizza toppings were great. They truly do put toppings all the way to the edge. I was supposed to have bell pepper, pickles, beef on one half and meatballs on the other half. What I got was no beef and no pickles but that's okay because it was still hot and good. The crust wasn't my favorite. To me it tasted like school pizza but I still ate it. It was definitely edible. The game and cheese sub was good. Just a standard sub sandwich. The meat, cheese and bread ratio was good. I sadly did not take a lot of photos. We were in a hurry.

The people dining with me were so taken aback by the way she was speaking to me that they didn't even know what to think. She was slamming dishes around, which felt aggressive and made the entire table uncomfortable. We received little to no actual service, including no drink refills. Thankfully, when it was time to leave, we didn't have to wait long to pay and get out since you pay at the front desk. After dealing with all of that, the food felt pretty average.
