I got the side salad as my side dish and it was one of the smallest salads I have ever seen.. it was simple and good. The service was excellent and the view of the golf course was great. My recommendation is to sit outside as the noise inside is a bit loud for me.

My recommendation for food is the build your own pizza. Unlike other places I've been, their toppings offerings are comprehensive including spinach, hot cherry peppers, green olives, feta, shrimp, etc... on top of the standard "boring" toppings. The pizza is oven baked so the crust is perfectly light and crispy yet hearty. Go and enjoy!! This is one of the only place located on the west side of Okoboji on Hwy 86!!

Extremely disappointing experience at Pizza Ranch today…read more At 2:08 PM, I paid for the buffet for my son and myself. My wife was meeting us there and arrived literally two minutes later, at 2:10 PM, only to be told the buffet was closed and that the food remaining on it was no longer considered good enough to serve. That raises a pretty obvious question - how was the buffet perfectly acceptable for me to purchase at 2:08 or eat from at 2:09, but somehow substandard at 2:10? If the buffet was effectively closing, that should have been clearly communicated before taking my money. At the very least, once my wife was refused access two minutes later, I should have been offered the opportunity to have my purchase refunded. I wasn't. This isn't really about two minutes. It's about basic communication, consistency, and customer service. We came in expecting to have a meal together as a family and instead were left with an experience that felt both unreasonable and completely avoidable. I won't be bringing my family back to this location, and unfortunately that will include the sports teams and groups we are involved with as well. There are too many other businesses that understand the value of treating families and customers fairly.
