My daughter went for the Kayak's Dream Shake--a solid mix of banana, strawberry, and blueberry. I ordered the Diver Shake with banana, chocolate, and peanut butter, and it was exactly what I wanted. For the food, the hot dogs are on the thinner side, but they serve them on a properly toasted bun. The burgers have excellent flavor, and the French fries are golden, crispy, and salted to perfection. My son tried the pepperoni roll; he thought it was okay, but not great. I kept it simple: fried chicken, baked salmon, salad, and coffee, and everything was solid and satisfying. The real win here was the people. Bri, my server, was friendly and attentive without hovering, and the manager (Greg, I think) & Alisha set the tone--welcoming, kind, and clearly invested in both guests and staff. This is the largest Subway store I've ever seen. Actually, when I queried, the manager told me it…read morewas the largest Subway in the US of A. It occupies the previous site of the Market at Big Springs at Slatyfork, (it was absorbed by the ParMar next door) and the entire square footage of the former super market - sans a small kitchen - is the Subway store. With all that space, and being the only rapid food within 30 miles, it is well equipped to handle the Winter ski/board crowds as well as the cyclist crowds in the Summer. And it will get mobbed once the ski crowd gets going. Even though it's a Subway, it has the feeling of a modern restaurant with accouterments I've never seen in a Subway or in any other fast food outlet for that matter. Soft leather tufted chairs offer views of two large flat-screen TVs in a lounge-like setting, and next to a waist-high wall behind the chairs, there is a large table sitting area. Very inviting. And to top it off, Subway is about the healthiest rapid food you can get. About the only one I enter too....
