This review is for the Tavern at the Pizza Grocery restaurant. The tavern is located in the back, go up to the coffee bar, and back to the right hand side. You can also enter the tavern by Taylor street. You must be 21 and up to enter after a certain time, please call to check if you have youngsters in your party. The Tavern has a large bar, band stage, large TV's with high top and standard table seating. You order food and drink at the bar, they give you a number stand to place on your table and the food is delivered to you. The staff is always friendly and helpful. A band is every Saturday around 8pm and on some Fridays ( per what the bar tender told us. ) The Food is always fresh, fast and delish! read more

Place looks awesome and a good menu but I'd say the food was average. Got the pizza, definitely par at best. Not very good honestly. Also my daughter had the pimento southern sandwich with fries. She said it was ok, but was full from the ravioli app so was going to get it to go... but the waiter LITERALLY took her plate and mine (I was done) never asked her if she was done... and we waited for him to return with her food (took one bite from the sandwich and 3 fries) and we asked and he said "oh you wanted that to go? Noooo we wanted to pay 15 bucks to feed your trash can. It was crazy. Terrible service won't be back read more

Everything is very good. The place has great ambiance for any type of gathering or even date night or a first date. It's just a great venue. The staff is lovely. After having a good experience at their coffee shop, we decided to come back for dinner. The restaurant was fairly empty and we were seated right away. The restaurant was clean and staff friendly. We started with the Shrimp appetizer. This was very good. I ordered The Works pizza and my wife the Fig Pizza. My wife said her pizza was one of the best pizzas she has ever had. Cute atmosphere with varied menu. I had the chicken club sandwich on sourdough with the handcut fries and hubby had the lasagna. Flavorful food and neither of us were disappointed. Went here for coffee and a cinnamon roll on our first morning in Corinth. Jonathan made us the best lattes we've ever had!!! The cinnamon rolls were delicious too!! Very nice, casual place with a cool industrial vibe! Great service!! We liked it so much, we decided to come back and eat dinner in the restaurant portion (previously, we were in the Coffee Bar area). We ordered fried shrimp with an Asian sauce appetizer & we each ordered 6" pizzas. My husband ordered the Works (Pepperoni, Beef, Italian sausage, Canadian bacon, Roma Tomatoes, Roasted Red Pepper, Green Pepper, Onion, Black Olive, Mushroom, Mozzarella) and I ordered the Fig pizza (Mozzarella, gorgonzola, fig preserves, prosciutto, & balsalmic reduction). Pizzas were so good!! Just the right size and the dough is tasty!! I asked for a side of fig sauce and dipped the crust in it!! Wish there was a pizza place local that made this!! I have been here several times, and every time I am seated in the balcony area next to the coffee bar, I have an unpleasant experience. It's like cafeteria seating where you sit with everyone. I'll spare the details, but I really wish they would separate the tables in this location. I had the Ruben fries, and a Greek salad. For some reason today the fries were so salty I could only eat half of a smaller portion than they usually serve. Also, my server kept calling me babe, and love. I think we ordered the wrong thing. Tried Pizza Grocery for the first this weekend. Greeted by a friendly staff and quickly seated. Our waitress was great and got us drinks and an order of Suppli aka arancini. The arancini came out hot and crispy, but unfortunately were served with a little plastic cup of refrigerator cold marinara sauce. The arancini were delicious, but served over a ladle of warm marinara sauce would have been much better. While the pizzas going by looked delicious, we were in the mood for pasta. My husband ordered the seafood lasagna, which we were both excited to try. It came out as a bowl filled with a mix of cooked pasta, sauce and seafood...not your classic stacked lasagna....but while it wasn't that pretty, it tasted ok and my husband cleaned his plate. Mine was a little more disappointing. I ordered the four cheese stuffed shells with marinara. Mine also came out in a bowl with clearly not a lot of effort put into it - three stuffed shells with marinara ladled over. No cheese on top and it wasn't run under the broiler to bring all of the flavors together. So should we ever find ourselves in the Corinth area again - we might go back but will definitely try pizza instead. read more

We've ate at Pizza Grocery several times in the past. Went there this afternoon, 7/3/2023, to get some pizza. Sat down and waited eleven minutes without any waiter or waitress coming to our table. No water, no nothing. The restaurant wasn't even half full. Probably to worst service and customer acknowledgement we've experienced. We normally spend $75-$100 each time we eat at Pizza Grocery. It will be a long time before we even think about eating there again. Just horrible! Suggestion- teach your staff so you continue to be successful. If not, you'll continue to lose local business. read more

My family and I stopped here years ago for dinner, on the way back from boating. I remembered it being good so I stopped for lunch on my way back to Memphis from Huntsville. I got the West Coast as a calzone and, yup, I remembered correctly, it was delicious! As with all my reviews I have to comment on the service. Lunch is not full service, unfortunately, so I cannot speak to that this time around. I don't remember it being bad 15 years ago so it was probably good. ;-) The counter staff and gal who brought me my food were very friendly and I didn't have to wait long for my food. So, good service. The calzone today was cooked well with plenty of tasty ingredients that were well distributed throughout. The establishment itself is probably the coolest part of the visit. Take a look at the pics I took. There is a cool coffee shop on the upper level, the lunch rising is on the ground floor, and though I didn't go down there, the basement is where dinner full service is and I remember it being nifty too. 1 star for service - Waitress could've definitely been friendlier, at least to me and my co-worker. It was very clear what she thought about 2 people of different races sharing a meal together. We were greeted with "what do you want to drink". Walked away and didn't bring our two waters until she was very friendly with two other tables that were seated after us. Oh, and they got their drinks before we did. When she brought our food, it was kinda dumped on the table without a word and she walked away. When my co-worker paid the tab, he asked for one check-I paid last week BTW, she acted offended that we were on the same check. So, it was Valentine's Day. People work and co-workers eat lunch together. I'm not sure why she was so put off by us, but clearly doesn't need to be serving the public. As a math geek, I celebrate Pi Day big time. I was looking for somewhere new to eat tonight and did a Google search for pizza in Corinth. Pizza Grocery was the first hit that came back, and I was intrigued by the location, atmosphere, and menu. So I drove down for supper and really enjoyed a nice relaxing casual evening of dining. Started with the Suppli which was a great appetizer, followed with a Crossroads pizza (BBQ chicken) and a Pork Belly pizza (spicy with a pepper jelly sauce), and topped it off with a chocolate pizza. We were in the middle of 12 hours on the road, a little stiff-backed, and starting to get hangry when we decided to hunt up some grub in Corinth. The tamale place we picked wasn't open, but Pizza Grocery was. We lucked out. The kitchen was about to close, but service was pleasant in spite of that. We ordered a 6" pie each, and an arugula salad. Ten minutes later we had our food in hand, served to us by the owner. He stood and talked to us for several minutes, pointing us to other places in Corinth we might want to check out on our return. The food was impeccable. Pizza crust had a good bite to it: a bit of crunch, then chewy with a good flavor. The tomato-based sauce was robust and fresh tasting. They're using a good quality mozzarella, too. The salad was so good that it made my eyes roll back in my head a little. The creamy balsamic served with it is excellent. We'll be back. Terrible experience! We came with a group of 6 at 1:30 pm and the place was essentially empty. They seated us way in the back of the basement. After inquiring about how long it would take to be served, we all ordered sandwiches because the server told us that the pizza "takes longer". 40 minutes after we ordered, we asked for our food to go. It took another 10 minutes for them to bring out the food. I wish I could tell you that the food was worth the wait, it was not. The sweet potato fries were soggy and gross. The ham and cheese was greasy and the ham was burnt. Maybe the pizza or pasta (after 4 pm) is better but I don't think it is worth the risk. read more

We started our meal with the Pimiento Cheese Fritters, which were perfectly crispy on the outside with warm, creamy goodness on the inside. For the main course, I had a muffuletta on focaccia with sweet potato fries. This muffuletta was as good as any I've ever had. My husband went for the pork belly pizza, which I sampled. The flavor combination was dynamite. Crispy, salty pork belly combines with hot pepper relish and pineapple for the perfect trifecta of flavors!
