Ordered a small pizza, onion rings and wings for dinner while in the area on a business trip. Nice and clean building with plenty of seating for eating in. Carries Coke products and a few chip options. Good selection on their menu of typical pizza place meals abd sides. The pizza was cooked well, however the cheese wasn't a good stretchy cheese but kind of mushy. The toppings were good. The wings were a little overcooked and not tossed in the sauce I chose. I'll take the blame on the sauce as I did not ask for them to be tossed. The onion rings tasted ok but the batter was, for lack of a better work, tough. Probably would return but stick with a sandwich of some type to try next. read more

Stopped by after an appointment near by for a quick bite and drink. My slice of cheese and a sparkling water came out to be just over $5, not too bad in my opinion. The bottom crust was on the thinner side, and the edge was pretty standard. There was a good cheese pull :) I'd come back for a quick snack or if I needed a local pizza. read more

I enjoy the pizza at Pizza Express of Gilford for lunch and dinner, located in the Country Club Plaza, right off the US 3/NH 11 Bypass at NH 11A and across the road from the NHDOT District 3 HQ. This very casual pizza shop offers pizza (by the slice & pie), calzones, subs, salads, burgers, pasta dinners, fish & chips, deep fried foods, and Coke products from the cooler. The prices here are good, pizza slices are $1.75, a small cheese pizza is $5.50. and most individual items are priced $10.95 or less, tax included. The place is order at the counter and there's self serve seating for eating in. The pizza slices are pretty good and fresh if you come here during lunchtime. Otherwise there are slices available sitiing in the heated display case throughout the day. I like my pizza when possible, so I don't mind waiting for a freshly baked small pizza. I enjoy a fresh baked Small 10" Sausage Pizza ($5.95 tax included) and a cold Diet Coke for lunch. The pizza usually takes about 10 minutes to be ready. The pizza has a good crust which is soft and slightly dense inside and crisp on the outside and topped with the right amount of pizza sauce, plenty of melted cheese and spicy sausage bits. Not too greasy either. I could probably finish a small pizza in one meal, but I like to save a couple small slices for a light snack for later. read more

We ordered 3 items today 1/4/23. We ordered a Caesars Salad, A Garlic Lovers #3 Calzone and a Chicken Fingers dinner. Caesars salad was great, Garlic Lovers #3 was ok, but no even a hint of Garlic in it, Chicken Tender were tough and un edible. You want to try what a Chicken tender is supposed to taste like? I went to five different Laconia restaurants, all of them reviewed here on yelp. Exactly two of them were doing the right thing in light of COVID. Pizza Express had two people at close quarters behind the counter, not wearing masks. There was a customer dining in, wearing a mask, and another who came in to pick up, also masked. so customer masks 100%, employee masks 0%. Live Free or Die! Visiting Gilford and looking for a good pizza place. Went for a small bacon and sausage calzone. Good value at $8.95 and the small could have easily fed two people. Service was quick and courteous. Will definitely stop in on my next time through this way. read more

First off... I am not one to post reviews. In fact- I joined Yelp JUST FOR THIS REVIEW! Tonight I took my daughter (who is 9) there for dinner.. we literally live 1 mile down the road and since ive grown up in this town I have been here MANY times! Well in 2 months we have had 3 horrible experiences. Tonight being the worst (& the only time I confronted them) and it was BAD! Well I got a cheese burger. Asked for ketchup, mustard & pickles. I get it with lettuce onion and tonss of mayo- which I am allergic to. I NEVERR send my food back but I was hungry, so I went and asked for a new roll. The blonde lady (I think its the owners wife?) Insisted on making me a whole new burger after asking why I was looking for a roll (& me informing her of my food allergy) .. 10 minutes later my new one comes. . This time I have mustand onion and pickle. I figure "whatever atleast its closer and NOT mayo) I go to take a bite and its FREEZING cold! I am so disgusted at this point. I go to the front and ask the blonde lady for a to-go box. She asked me "why you dont like the burger?" I said "no its pratically frozen- I just want a to go box for my daughter" she states " well if you dont like the way the burger is- dont order it next time! They are premade from our distributor!" In a real snotty way.. which- for the record the 1st wasnt frozen. . I dont believe. (& the other 2 times was a steak and cheese and a calzone.. not burger) Well I again ask for the to go box. She turns around and tries giving me a brown paper bag! I said "are you freakin kidding me? For chicken and fries with ketchup I get a bag?" She starts laughing - alone with another employee and goes "hahha I thought you wanted a doggie bag!" I was LIVID. Its a good thing my daughter was with me. I have never felt so disrespected and uncomfortable in anyyy eatery like I was here! Not to mention it was about 100 degrees in there, the ceiling fan was furrier than my dog & besides the one kid with longer hair (who should probably work at gilford house bc hes really nice and professional) THE PLACE SUCKS! Please be aware that all reviews other the the one dated 2016, are when there were different owners. The new owners do a great job. There subs are over loaded and very tasty. I do believe there are better pizza's in the area but please give them a try. read more

This place is under new management as of April 2016 and the food is great. The subs are fresh and top quality. Prices INCLUDE the tax. You can also get home made baklava. We are from Gilford, and stopped here on our way home from Florida. After two days on the road we picked up subs here, and we've been coming here twice a week since. I'll miss this place when we go back to Florida in October. read more
