I might suggest asking for a standard tomato sauce though as the BBQ sauce base did get a bit much after about half a pizza (but just a suggestion, obviously). We ordered on Deliveroo at 7:50 pm and the estimated delivery time was 30 - 60 minutes. As the hour approached (the latest the delivery should have been) the app said that the restaurant was still making our order. The app continued to extend the delivery time until we had been waiting two hours and fifteen and the restaurant was due to close. At this point the Deliveroo rider had been waiting at the restaurant for 15 minutes. We were growing increasingly anxious that we wouldn't get our food (that they would cancel the order) and then we wouldn't be able to get food because it was getting so late. The app had no way to contact the restaurant, but said to call the restaurant directly. I tried to call the restaurant multiple times and recieved both line busy messages and had my calls be hung up on. We called repeatedly and repeatedly got no answer. Finally, at 10:25 the rider got our pizza (2.5 hours after we had ordered), but we didn't get to eat until 10:40... A bit frustrating. Like I said, the food is good, but the lack of timeliness, the lack of communication... it was incredibly unprofessional and honestly anxiety inducing. At least have a message on your restaurant number. And if you're SO busy you can't do delivery... don't offer it as an option.

Pizza: thin or deep pan, you can pick- but I prefer thin crusted Pizza and a Margherita - size 9" for £2.00 it is a bargain indeed. (Free delivery only within 1.5 miles and min order is £10) sometimes their pizza can be a bit greasy but I don't really mind. The staff look grumpy but when you talk to them they are chatty and friendly. Come here with an open mind. Good value and really tasty pizza but the venue is pretty decent looking- no seats - however, in the end it is just a take away ;)

We went on Monday because every main pizza on Monday (in the Didsbury location) is just £5. They also have some other offices: Wednesday is buy one get one half price. And Monday to Thursday, 12-5pm: all main menu pizzas are just five pounds. (Thats what it says on their web site, but I think I read it as 12-4pm while in restaurant so you may want to double check with them). The restaurant is conveniently located very close to the West Didsbury tram station. The location on Google Maps is a little bit too far down the road - GB Pizza Co is located on the right side of a group of shops and other restaurants. While waiting for a couple people to arrive, we ordered some cheesy garlic bread - although by the time it arrived everyone had arrived. The garlic bread was OK - it was VERY hot. For sure it had come direct from the oven! So be careful not to burn your mouth or fingers!! Took a while to decide what pizza I wanted (menu below). Quite a few sounded good. In the end I went for the Moon's Green mushroom & truffle salami, roasted garlic and white onion pizza. It was delicious!! Never had a pizza with white onion on it but I love onions so loved it!! The pizza was a very thin base - really thin (and crispy). I think its one of the best pizzas I have ever had! As good as the lovely pizza I had from Honest Crust the other day. (And of course Rudy's is really good too - but this pizza from GB Pizza Co may be a bit better!). GB Pizza Co has been recommended by many included The Good Food Guide, Time Out and the Observer Food Montlhy Awards - and I can see why!! When you want to pay, you need to go up to the bar. We asked for the bill and that came to the table. But then it was not clear if they were going to come back and we pay them or go to the bar. I think they need to mention when giving the bill and/or write it on bill or menu that you pay at the bar. So we ended up for a good few minutes just sitting and waiting!! So I would recommend going to GB Pizza Co! (They are also on Deliveroo). This is one of those times need half marks. If so, would be 4.5/5 because it was not "perfect". But the pizza was so good. The selection of food is amazing, they have the most pasta dishes I've seen at an Italian, for a long time, if not ever. The prices are also modest and the food far surpasses the price. The pizzas all looked great and the small bit I tried was delicious but I had the pasta however, which is where I think it really excels. My choice was the spinach ravioli which was absolutely amazing, I would not have been disappointed for twice the price. The house red wine is gorgeous by anyone's standards, I've paid a whole lot more for a whole lot less. The place itself is fairly small but with tables for parties of all sizes with quick and efficient service. You'll be wanting to keep this one to yourself, it's a hidden gem.
